    What would have made Fifty Shades of Grey better?

    Would have been a better book without the exhaustingly long gratuitous sex scenes, although I assume that most people are attracted to the book for that very reason.


    Has Fifty Shades of Grey turned you off from other books in this genre?

    I wouldn't bother reading any of the other books in the series.. Let me guess what happens next? They get together, she tries to 'change' him, they have lots more SnM sex, they separate... get back together blah blah.. I might be completely wrong of course.


    What didn’t you like about Becca Battoe’s performance?

    Good narration. Quite enjoyed Becca's voice and narration style.

    Having said all that... if I got the royalties that the author has... I'd be laughing all the way to the bank.

    Where does The Daylight War: Demon Trilogy, Book 3 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

    It's a fun book to listen to with a superb performance from the reader ... I've just started to get into the genre of fantasy, magic... I enjoy listening while I'm doing other activities.. easy listening because the story is not to convoluted.


    What was one of the most memorable moments of The Daylight War: Demon Trilogy, Book 3?

    I loved the relationship that are built in the book among cultures and people... many analogies can be drawn to modern day conflicts...


    Which character – as performed by Pete Bradbury – was your favorite?

    Pete Bradbury used a wonderful array of voices and moods - a great job.


    Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

    I thought the ending was very abrupt and in fact have come on line now to see if there is a fourth book in the series... alas there is not.

    You have to enjoy listening to very lengthy books to enjoy this trilogy.

    What did you love best about Jack of Diamonds?

    You do not understand why the book is called Jack of Diamands until the very end.... Jack of Diamonds is an epic story stretching 3 phases of Jacks life. Loved the variety in the each of the stories across the span of Jack's life.


    What does Humphrey Bower bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

    Humphrey Bower gives a superb performance which enhances the experience of the book - best performance I have heard!


    Who was the most memorable character of Jack of Diamonds and why?

    I loved Jack and the book if full of lively, thoroughly developed characters.

    I don't tend to re-read ANY books. My plan is to re-read (listen) to my books when I retire...


    What did you like best about this story?

    I was completely surprised by the subject matter.... he usually writes about law firms and legal situations...


    Which scene was your favorite?

    I loved the scene at the end with the two main characters coming to an understanding.


    Who was the most memorable character of Calico Joe and why?

    Calico Joe was the most memorable, mainly because the book is names after him and because of his suffering... what a huge waste of life ... very sad.... and yet what strength of character.
