I agree with the reviewers who complain that there are too many holes in the plot and that the narrarator is just average. Roy Dotrice has spoiled me!
I certainly did not want it to end. It could have been twice as long and still would have been riveting.
So many history books written about World War I by Americans or Brits tend to be heavily biased toward the Allies (Ms. Tuchman, for example), but this book is as even handed as possible, as history books ought to be. Well done!
GRRM is an astonishingly great story-teller, and Roy Dotrice is a theatrical wizard. Together they once again have created a masterpiece!
Well written and excellently read. Worth two credits.
Excellently written and read. Highly recommended.
An excellent audiobook on a fascinating topic. Well done!
Listen to this book to realize what it means to be human and to live in freedom. A truly great work.
A great book and a genius of a reader!!! Perfect British accent and an incredible number of different voices!
A must read for everyone, especially those who claim America is on the road to socialism.
