In a novel that is as compelling as it is compassionate, Danielle Steel weaves a story of courage in the face of unimaginable loss. With the grace of a master storyteller, she explores the strength it takes to conquer our greatest fears, showing us how the toughest choices can yield the most unexpected rewards...and how the longest, most winding journeys can begin with a single kiss.

    "Should have gotten abridged version"

I really enjoyed the story but the author went on and on and on and on about the same points - over and over again. I make it a point to only get unabridged books but in this case I should have gotten an abridged version.

I am so happy- seems like I have been waiting forever for this book. I just re-listened to the first two in the series and was wondering if the third would ever show up on audible. I am looking forward to another great listen.

  • The Body Artist

Since the publication of his first novel 30 years ago, Don DeLillo has lived in the skin of our times. He has found a voice for the forgotten souls who haunt the fringes of our culture and for its larger-than-life real figures. The Body Artist is DeLillo's haunting and profoundly moving new novel.

John says: "Excellent in every way"
    "How boring can it get??"
    Overall

Why did I buy this book? The write up looked interesting but the book is proving to be a big disappointment. I am not enjoying it at all. So far it has been description after endless description of the most mundane aspects of life - with a little story thrown in if you can find it. This is the first audio book I will not finish. I recommend listening to a sample before buying - you may find this as boring as I have.

  • Luck in the Shadows: Nightrunner, Book 1

Spy, rogue, thief, and noble, Seregil of Rhiminee is many things, none of them predictable. And when he offers to take on Alec as his apprentice, things may never be the same for either of them. Soon Alec is traveling roads he never knew existed, toward a war he never suspected was brewing. Before long he and Seregil are embroiled in a sinister plot that runs deeper than either can imagine and that may cost them far more than their lives if they fail. But fortune is as unpredictable as Alec's new mentor.

Jennifer says: "A surprisingly good series"
"can't wait for the next book in the series"
    Overall

I have already read print copies of the three books in this series and and really enjoyed listening to this book. I would love to get audio copies of the next two books and anything else by this author.
