I don't like these canned questions, so I'm just going to tell you why this book was great. I didn't think I would like some old British war story. Not that it's a war story - not really, but as soon as the war was mentioned, I groaned.

I'm glad I kept listening.

I couldn't wait to find out what the heck was going to happen next. Todd did a great job of creating this air of menace and creepiness. And the twists and turns! By the time I saw it coming, it was all over. A great mystery, outstanding writing - I couldn't wait to keep listening.

That's my guide - plain and simple. Does it hook me pretty soon? Do I get excited at the thought of taking it up again? This one did it for me - I kept thinking - find her! Find her! If I'm that into it - it's usually pretty good. Isn't that what you want in a good mystery?

I agree with several of the other reviewers - needs a professional narrator. BUT I'm not sure that could really save this. I'm barely into and all it seems to be is a diatribe against evil capitalism. Things were great in the happy Cadbury plant until evil Kraft came just to make filthy money!

If things were so fabulous and peaceful, why were the workers unionized? Maybe as the book progresses, this will be answered, I just don't think I can hang in there long enough to find out! I'm going to try again and if I find anything redeeming, I will update this review.

I an fascinated with the chocolate industry so I was very disappointed by this. Much better is the Emperors of Chocolate.. And you just can't beat CandyFreak by Steve Almond.

This is definitely a dark book, but if you expect anything else from the family axe murder description, well...... I love a good mystery and the jumping back and forth in time was a very interesting way to tell the story. I really liked it - give me a good mystery and some psychological drama - I'm in!

Well, I seldom listen to audiobooks twice no matter how good they are - too many I haven't heard!

I always know an audiobok is great when I can't wait to get back to it. this was one of those. I also vividly saw the places and characters. Loved it!

If you're a Sherlock Holmes fan, I think this will more than measure up.
