Lou Diamond Phillips delivered an amazing performance, giving each character their own vocal style. A perfect delivery of of a finely crafted Spy Tale.
What a great series!
This last book falls apart on the first story though. The audio production value here is so bad that it remains a debilitating distraction to most of the story. Power through this immediate failure and the series gets back to the usual greatness.
Mr. Burkeman shares a sweeping journey of Epic proportions as he travels through key chains of though, practice, and research.
The sense of speed is breathtaking as he demolishes one cherished fantasy after another while authentically exploring alternatives.
If this is the only book you ever read on the nature of nature, then you picked the right one.
What a unique creation. The scale is breathtaking. A Jungian adventure. A gift from the Britt's to US. Thank you Neil for this Mythic tale of God's, Mortal's, and Roadside attractions.
And thank you to the cast and crew for giving this production the attention and care it deserved.
The production values on this recording are beyond bad. Half way through a paragraph the quality of the sound will change so dramatically that it kicks you out of the story and you have to spend extra attention pretending that it's the same character.
Come on guys, set up a sound room next time.
After the enjoyment of the first six stellar books, the transition to the new reader is proving to be quite difficult. Her quirky style distracts from the story. Also, nobody bothered to synchronize pronunciations with the previous books.
