This book is full of action and adventure. Very interesting for all ages. Those who liked this book might also like books by G. A. Henty.
I have listened to other books by Anne Perry and narrated by another (a female - who did the first three in the William Monk series). I will NOT listen to another narrated by David Colacci. I will purchase print editions of other Anne Perry books in this series rather than listen to this narrator. He is absolutely horrible. I was able to suffer through it in order to find out the ending, but, my word, this guy is bad. He is terrible at the British accent and every word seems contrived. If you listened to the earlier books by the female narrator, you will HATE this guy.
This book was ok but needed some of the details edited out. I found myself tuning out the reader many times or fast forwarding to some action. Definitely predictable as are all Clive Cussler books I've read.
Louis L'Amour is great, but the narrator of this particular book is terrible. I'd definitely look for another L'Amour before this one.
This was a great book! Serious at times but also funny at times. It was a little slow at first, but if you will persevere for a little while you will be hooked. This particular narrator does an excellent job with the different voices and accents, especially the two Americans who show up.
This one was a hard one to get through. The narrator does a good job but the content is so detailed and tedious that I had to force myself to finish. The audiofiles are messed up in two places also. I would NOT recommend this book unless you really really like military history and particularly military history in Afganistan, persia, and the area.
An ok listen. This book wasn't quite as good as the first Sackett books.
This is a great listen. Much adventure and faithfulness on the part of the main character. Good for all ages.
This is another good Lamour book. The narrator is the same from book one and two. He does a good job with the different characters. I was afraid that I would be tired of the story line after the first two books, but that was not the case. This book was just as good and kept my attention.
If you like the first three Sackett books you might also like books by G.A. Henty ("In the Reign of Terror" is a good one to start with or "The Cat of Bubastes".). Lots of history and adventure that's good for all ages.
