It is hard to be a fan of Dune. First a great book, then an awful movie. NOW the a horrable reading. I like Scott Brick, but he should stick to doing John Grisham. My advice is, if you have the spare credit, to get this book for the story and ignore the readers. May be that someone like Tim Curry is out there to give this work the treatment it deserves. OUCH!
Great listen on the way to and from work.
The fact you didn't know what was going to happen until it did.
Michael Beck brings characters to life.
When his former 'staff' helped him and Rebecca.
A plot worthy of the author. Terry Pratchett is much better than this.
This listen was flat, no plot, no no thought, no challange for the mind. A little poo is funny, a lot of poo is just poo over and over. Half star anyone?
She tried her best, but she could not save this piece of poo.
I love Terry Pratchett's books. This book grew out of Snuff as a plot device, however on its own it is just sad.
I hoped this would be like Where's My Cow, something to share with my grandson. Just too much poo - even for his eight year old mind, and WAY too much for my 60 year old mind. I'll recommend Terry Pratchett's books to anyone, that is except this one.
I was first introduced to Hornblower books while in grade school, I am now 51 years old and listing to this most excelent adaptation has made me wish to read the whole series again. The narration is excellent and it is a grand story. I would recomend this book to anyone who loves adventure books sea stories.
