Mels Carmichael, reporter for the Caldwell Courier Journal, gets the shock of her life when a man stumbles in front of her car outside the local cemetery. After the accident, his amnesia is just the kind of mystery she likes to solve, but she soon discovers they're in over their heads with his past. Over their heads with passion, too.... As shadows walk the line between reality and another realm, and her lover's memory begins to come back, the two of them learn that nothing is truly dead and buried.

D.G. says: "Narration is TOO FAST!!! Why the rush?"

Would you consider the audio edition of Rapture to be better than the print version?

    Equal to print version.

Would you be willing to try another book from J. R. Ward? Why or why not?

I gave up my willingness years ago. I am a die-hard J.R. Ward fan. If she re-wrote the phone book, I'd buy it!

What about Eric Dove’s performance did you like?

I did initially have reservations on his female voices, but got used to it, and could label characters based on his vocal choices.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

More of the point was I almost did!!!

    Any additional comments?

Still engrossed in my BD Brothers, that is her contirbution to fame.. Keep'em coming PLEASE!!!

Governess Honoria Wetherby values her independence. She would rather travel the world than marry and give some man control of her life. Then, one stormy evening, fate changes all her plans. She stumbles upon a mortally wounded young man in the woods. When the stranger dies, she is trapped in a cabin with his body and with his newly arrived cousin, Devil, whom she soon learns is aptly named.

Where does Devil's Bride rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Don't waste my listening time on boring work. This is worth my time and listen. Good story line and an intriguing introduction to another branch of the Tree of Bastion Boys Club.

What did you like best about this story?

Introduction of characters and story line had several levels.

Have you listened to any of Simon Prebble’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

He is completely believable, his Scots is worthy, his feminine tones believeable as well.

Lady Averill Mortagne learned to control her fierce temper as a young girl. But if her father insists on parading her before one more English lord who looks askance at her flame-colored hair, she'll simply scream! Her only respite is the time she spends with Kade Stewart, the wounded Scot her brother brought home from the Crusades. Who could have imagined a Highland warrior would be the only gentleman around?

Candyce says: "Another great one by Lynsay Sands"

What made the experience of listening to The Hellion and the Highlander the most enjoyable?

The plot of the story does carry one onto the action eagerly.

Which character – as performed by Marianna Palka – was your favorite?

    The Devil of course.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yeah but I couldn't, work gets in the way. But did listen at every free moment.
