This is a very complicated review. The start was grueling. The story picked up. the characters were good. The good and interesting characters should have been developed more. There were some great characters to develop. The summation was so quick and unsatisfying. There was so much potential!!!! I love period pieces! could have been phenomenal with some input from a third party or fourth, editor! A non infested person.
He was good, not as good as others, but his performance did not deter.
Yes and no. I finished it but there were times I just did not want to finish it. The summation should have been a surprise but strings should have eluded. I felt like the whole motive was to guide you to the next book.
I have never had such mixed feelings.
It was a mystery but it couldn't keep my attention at all. Also, it came down to child abuse in the end, I don't like to read about. The plot was detailed enough and had twists.
Perhaps but I won't seek him out.
Perhaps but I won't seek him out. I like his voice but differentiating between characters is not up to par.
Characters are detailed, plot had good potential.
Yes, I would. I found that the second listen was actually better than the first.
It was different, I enjoyed the building side and ghosts.
At first I thought her words were non distinct. Shortly after I appreciated her manor and she created since of humor.
The characters are so well developed. It wouldn't matter the story at this point, the interaction between characters is the attraction. This is not my favorite of her books but it is well worth the listen. The evolution makes since.
It is hard to say, it is a compilation of fascinating individuals with unique personalities. I guess my favorites are Bones, Vlad, and Cat.
Not sure, probably the end.
Can not wait for the next book!
Start from the beginning there are some don't miss books. The first three are my favorite then Once Burned and Twice Tempted.
Yes. The last few books I bought I could barely finish. This one had a light content. It was enjoyable with humor and interesting characters. The book flowed. It was not frustrating like my last two or three. I laughed and smiled often.
It was very good for a light read. I will check out more of her books. It was a great diversion.
For a 4 or 5 star I would save that for a Jeanine Frost book with in depth characters, plot and constant humor and banter. Jeanine's romance and sex scenes were done in perfect amounts, tied with the plot.
Yes, the narrator was very good I would look for other books done by her. She made the different voices distinct. Her inflection was very good. I enjoyed her immensely.
Most the books I listen to I would not reccomend for a movie or TV series. This one would make a series.
I will try another of her books.
Too much religion and not used right. The Christian falsely accuses a man and ruins his life, takes away the woman he loves, his job and freedom. The police spend the whole book focused on one man with a rush to judgement. The main character thinks sorry makes it okay.
Listen to editors and critics advise.
Yes, she was good but I wouldn't seek her out.
I would say a little of each anger over lack of justice for the accused, sadness for a life devastated by rush to judgment, and disappointment of how many people went along with it. In the end to top it off a man on the edge because of everyone believing a woman claiming his guilt by a vision given from God cracks, he ends up in jail for a few years. He should have got probation.
I barely got through it. There were a couple of good characters. There were more developed characters needed. The banter between the two main characters was great, but the lust aspect needed to be 90% less. The plot was cookbook with an out of the air twist at the end. It was cat and mouse, kind of like a car chase movie.
I would try one. The narrator did a good job.
If there was more story and developed characters. The banter was the best part but the lust was 90% of the book. Of course the book is not meant to be realistic however, no woman would forgive and forget the cruel, crude public humiliation that the love interest repeatedly does.
There was potential but the execution was lacking.
People that don't mind a sad ending.
There were no wholes. The characters were good.
The ending was unsatisfying.
The interaction between the main character and Molly.
Sadness and disappointment.
I would look into it. The narrator was very good.
The main characters were developed a little. A little more background on them would be good. You don't really feel vested. All in all it was worth one reading not a second listen.
No I have not.
Possibly a series.
The story line was one dimensional. There was no character development. It was like a day in the life, just with zombies.
Not sure, I haven't found any good books lately.
Killing the baby.
The story seemed interesting, the way the story is told. However, the narrator's voice was like fingernails on a chalkboard. I didn't get past two chapters.
Not the genre.
NO. The young girl's voice sounded like a thirty year old. It wasn't the character's sophistication, it was the voice. I am curious to whom this book is suppose to appeal? I hate to be negative but I think this book would be a good listen with different narrators.
I am disappointed I spent a credit!!!
