I found the story lacking in the ability to engage my attention fully and as a result as I was listening and doing chores - if I missed stuff I did not feel the need to back up the book. The characters and story could have used developing and found it quite predictable at times though I did like the overall consept of the story. I am not sure if I would seek out another of her books to read.
As for the narrator, I thought she did a good job of bringing unique voices to the different characters.

I really enjoyed the story and narration of this book! This story has a lot of humour in it and I found it a very relaxing read/listen. I will definitely be getting the rest of the series.

I really enjoy this author's writing! She is has a way of infusing humor into her writing that left me rewinding the book to catch all of the story. I definitely will be reading more of her work. I also loved the narrator as well and find she is able to bring unique voices to the cast of characters in the book.

I loved this book! The interplay between the characters is quite funny and I had to rewind several times because I was laughing so hard. The author is very good and writing very real characters and I found the story very plausable. The narrator did a good job on separating out the characters and performing the book. Highly recommend this book.

This is the second book in this series I have read and I have quite enjoyed both of them. The narrator is very good and is able to use distinctive voices for the people in the story and has a very expressive voice. A very enjoyable listen!

I love reading audiobooks even if I have read it in print. I find this narrator has a way of bringing more personality to the characters than I tend to project into the books when I read them in print. In many ways, listening to the performance in audio is like watching the movie after reading the book - it can bring another layer to the book.

One of the most enjoyable part of the book was how Jacqueline Frank describes the internal struggle of Jacob as he comes to terms with the knowledge that he is attacted to Bella despite how forbidden this is in his society. She has a very descriptive way of bringing to life both emotions and events.

I have listened to Jacob, Gideon, and Ellijah and I have enjoyed Xe Sands's performances in all of them.

Jacqueline Frank has a lot of humor and banter between the characters that made me laugh out loud on several occassions throughout this novel.

I would highly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys paranormal romances. I quite enjoyed both the performance of the book as well as the book itself and will continue to read Jacqueline Frank novels.
