"Good Story the narration could have been better"
I love Elizabeth Hoyt and will keep buying her books. Not sure she has anything to say about who does the narration.
Not much the way the narrator pronounced some of the words was irritating and would avoid any books read by this narrator unless it was an author I loved.
"What a wonderful Story!!!"
I am so grateful for the $4.95 special on 1st of series books! I would never have tried a Maya Banks book and I am so glad that I did! The story holds your attention all through the entire book... The characters are well defined and interesting. The reviews on this book are right on point. I have already purchased and listened to the 2nd book in this series and can hardly wait until September when the next book is released.
I recommend this book and author to anyone who loves a good romance novel!
You go Maya Banks you have been added to my favorite author list!
"Jodi Thomas NEVER DISAPPOINTS!"
I have been listening to this series from the 1st book. I was so happy when Jodi started writing about the 2nd generation. I liked the last book a bit better because of the interaction with more of the family and let us get to know the girls and Duncan. This book was good and kept my interest but I missed news about the girls and the rest of the family! Would like to have known what the family reaction was to Rose and Duncan falling in love.
Hope the next book ties more of the extended family in and give an update on Rose, Duncan and Em.
"Enjoyable"
Yes I would but I would recommend reading the books in order. I disagree with the other reviews. I think Pippa's story can stand alone but is richer having read the first book in the series.
I like when Pippa confronts Castleford and learns there was more to him than she gave him credit. Very likable people.
No I enjoyed the entire book.
I wish there had been more interaction with Pen and Bourne to connect the two books. But I feel the other people who reviewed this book were unfair. Pippa is a unique woman and the author developed her personality very well.
"Glad I took a chance"
I read a lot of negative reviews on this book but I love Susan Mallery and decided to purchase it anyway. I am glad I did. The second book is not as good as the first but I found it easy to listen to and enjoyed.
Easy listening and good characters.
Not unless I loved the author
"I love Jodi Thomas' writing style!"
One of my favorites but all of her books are! She takes you inside the heads of her characters and makes you feel like you are in the book with them.
I love her style and I am always on the edge to see what will happen next. I think this book is where the Harmony Series was born. I love that series and can't wait for the next book!
To many to count. I find the bakery scene where all the towns people gather to try and help but just make things more complicated.
I don't think a movie could do this book justice. When they make books into movies you loose the heart of the story.
A great listen. I know I will listen to it again.
"Wonderful!!!"
Up at the top! Jodi takes you right into Harmony it is like being there instead on just listening to a story.
I get so invested in the characters. They are normal and have faults you feel like you have met them and they are now your friends.
I love all of them but I have a real soft spot for the Funeral Director. He looks at himself so practically and he is so sensible then he surprises himself. He makes me laugh and makes me cry. I love his heart and the compassion he has for other people even the dead ones.
I think that a movie would be impossible. They would not be able to portray the depth of the community or the characters in a movie.
Can't wait for the next one! I love this series!
"Love it!!!"
Don't know
Any of Mary Balogh's books I love them all.
Penelope
I really liked the whole thing but when Spencer figured out what a special person she was and that he loved her was really good.
"Really enjoyed the book"
It was well written and had that spark of humor that Catherine Coulter has in all her historical novels.
It kept me guessing and interested in what was coming next.
"Stephanie Laurens always delivers"
Yes I always listen to Stephanie Laurens book more than once. I love her style and her stories
Any of the Bastion Club books but the hero in this book is very special and reasons problems out before acting unlike most of the other members when it comes to the ladies they are in love with.
To formal, dry
No because of the narrator I needed to break it up.
Stephanie Laurens never lets me down!
