"Masterful but a very hard listen."
A very detailed story of epic proportion.Pandora's Star is very similar to the epics of Asmov and Tolkien. Lots of alien space wars and assassins, spy's and traitors.
I had to re-listen to the story several times to keep track of the many plot lines. But once you're hooked, you can't put it down.
Read this book before attempting to read the sequel.
"Finally something really fresh and interesting"
Brett manages to merge religion, fantasy , history and science fiction into a believable alternate universe of Earths future or past.
Really enjoyed listening to Pete Bradbury create the many vivid characters that Brett has introduced in print.
If you like books like Dune, The Foundation, Enders Game ,Dreaming Void Halo and the UNCOMPLETED George C. Martin series , then you will love The Warded Man and Desert Spear.
"A little long"
I wanted to love it.
I love the author.
Since his epic story "The Stand"
Nothing has made that big a stand.
"Black Ooups"
Had a very tough time following the story and gettig into the charecters.
"Broken Prey"
Typical of Sanford, non stop heart pounding lissening, gets a little slow midway through chap[ters 16-23 but picks up to a dramatic intense ending
