  • Me Before You: A Novel

    • UNABRIDGED (14 hrs and 40 mins)
    • By Jojo Moyes
    • Narrated By Susan Lyons, Anna Bentink, Steven Crossley, and others

Louisa Clark is an ordinary girl living an exceedingly ordinary life - steady boyfriend, close family - who has never been farther afield than her tiny village. She takes a badly needed job working for ex-Master of the Universe Will Traynor, who is wheelchair bound after an accident. Will has always lived a huge life - big deals, extreme sports, worldwide travel - and now he's pretty sure he cannot live the way he is. Will is acerbic, moody, bossy - but Lou refuses to treat him with kid gloves, and soon his happiness means more to her than she expected.

Bonny says: "Will & Louisa - each has what the other one needs"
"Who gets to decide our fate?"
Where does Me Before You rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I loved this audio book for many reasons...the narration brought the characters to life with the if fervent accents and class distinctions

  • Where'd You Go, Bernadette: A Novel

    • UNABRIDGED (9 hrs and 39 mins)
    • By Maria Semple
    • Narrated By Kathleen Wilhoite

Bernadette Fox is notorious. To her Microsoft-guru husband, she's a fearlessly opinionated partner; to fellow private-school mothers in Seattle, she's a disgrace; to design mavens, she's a revolutionary architect, and to 15-year-old Bee, she is a best friend and, simply, Mom.

Then Bernadette disappears. It began when Bee aced her report card and claimed her promised reward: a family trip to Antarctica. But Bernadette's intensifying allergy to Seattle - and people in general - has made her so agoraphobic that a virtual assistant in India now runs her most basic errands.

S says: "One of my top 10 listens of the year!"
    "Funny unexpected romp"
Would you consider the audio edition of Where'd You Go, Bernadette to be better than the print version?

I love the audio version as you get tones and inflections that may not have occurred to you...the narrator can make or brake an audio book and this one was spot on

What did you like best about this story?

The humor and unexpected story line

What about Kathleen Wilhoite’s performance did you like?

    She had the characters nailed

If you could take any character from Where'd You Go, Bernadette out to dinner, who would it be and why?

    Bernadette or B
