New York City's oldest medical center is the scene of a ghastly attack: top neurosurgeon Gemma Dogen is found in her office, where she has been sexually assaulted and designated by the cops as a "likely to die." By the time assistant D.A. Alexandra Cooper has plunged into the case, it's a high-profile, media-infested murder investigation. As Alex's passion to find the killer intensifies, she discovers that she is the next target for lethal violence.

    Story

I love this author not only was she a real life DA, but she has an incredible grasp of storytelling the real life day to day without being boring. That being said I usually look forward to Barbara Rosenblat telling the story as she does a great job, and she is the characters for me, but this book fell a little flat. However, I contribute that also to this was one of her first books with the characters. Overall, GREAT story, couldn't wait to listen everyday!

Why we think it’s a great listen: The most celebrated performance in all of Audible’s history, The Help has nearly 2,000 5-star reviews from your fellow listeners. We hear the print book’s not bad, either. In pitch-perfect voices, Kathryn Stockett creates three extraordinary women whose determination to start a movement of their own forever changes a town, and the way women - mothers, daughters, caregivers, friends - view one another.

    Story

I can't remember reading another story that touched every emotion-happy, sad, angry, victorious. The author is an incredible storyteller, and a profound way of building and displaying a character. This book is a must have for everyone of any color, race or creed. It is a telling story into our history good and bad.
Also, the readers are incredible. Octavia Spencer (Minnie) also plays Minnie in the movie-great fit for both jobs.

I hope everyone enjoys this book as much as I did. I listened to it twice!!
