  • Money, and the Law of Attraction: Learning to Attract Wealth, Health, and Happiness

    • ORIGINAL (7 hrs and 32 mins)
    • By Esther Hicks, Jerry Hicks
    • Narrated By Esther Hicks, Jerry Hicks

In Money, and the Law of Attraction, Esther and Jerry Hicks present the teachings of the Non-Physical consciousness Abraham. The concepts offered here relate to the topic of abundance and prosperity. They will show you that you truly need to think about what you want in your life and not what you don't want. If you put your attention on thoughts of not having enough money, you are in the perfect position for the creating of more of that which you do not have.

"After a year, I am ready to rate"

Suspend your doubts and listen to the content. It took quite a while for me to get beyond my doubts that Ester really is channelling a spirit. Even today, I am not comfortable with her contention. However, I am open minded and believe that if you can suspend your doubts and listen to the message, you will find this book to be excellent.
Great insights and great commentary. This is the only LOA book that addressed some truly challenging questions.
I would recommend this book to any with an open mind and who is ready to listen deeply

  • The Attractor Factor, 2nd Edition: 5 Easy Steps to Create Wealth (or Anything Else) from the Inside Out

    • UNABRIDGED (6 hrs and 46 mins)
    • By Joe Vitale
    • Narrated By Joe Vitale

For the first time ever, one of the rarely discussed formulas for building wealth and achieving success in all areas is revealed in The Attractor Factor. Popular marketing and spirituality guru Joe Vitale argues that those who try hard and fail need to remake their inner beings in order to easily attract success, wealth, and happiness. Many people do the right things but get the wrong results; it's not so much what they do, as what they are inside. The problem for most people is self-sabotage.

    Socaav says: "Lots of info"
    "A very long commerical"

This was a pretentious book by a pretentious author about a pretentious subject matter. Vitale is not at all believable. Of all the people who emerged after the success of "The Secret," Vitale is the one who should give it up and accept the fact that he is only out for money.

  • Self-Esteem: Third Edition

    • ABRIDGED (7 hrs and 8 mins)
    • By Matthew McKay, Patrick Fanning
    • Narrated By Rob Shapiro

Do you wake up dreading the day? Do you feel discouraged with what you've accomplished in life?Do you want greater self-esteem, productivity, and joy in daily living? If so, you will benefit from this revolutionary way of brightening your moods without drugs or lengthy therapy. All you need is your own common sense and the easy-to-follow methods revealed in this book by one of the country's foremost authorities on mood and personal relationship problems.

"Why did I get this book?"

I gave this two stars for one reason: I realized that I have a healthy self esteem after listening to this. The narrator is terrible and could lead a depressed person deeper into the abyss of sorrow. The content is nothing new and can be summarized into ten seconds: "To change you life, change your thoughts. Stop negative self talk and learn to appreciate your life, one piece at a time."
    Enough said

  • The Language of Archetypes: Discover the Forces that Shape Your Destiny

    • ORIGINAL (12 hrs and 19 mins)
    • By Caroline Myss
    • Narrated By Caroline Myss

Have you ever felt that your life was guided by larger forces? Unseen but very real energies that influence every direction your life takes? In her renowned work as a medical intuitive, Caroline Myss examined the patterns of hundreds of archetypes that exist in human consciousness, and found that each of us has a "sacred support team" of 12 primary archetypes. Once identified, these archetypes allow you to discover your highest purpose, what she calls your "Sacred Contract".

Alan says: "A truely awesome value, you NEED this book."
    "Very dissapointing"

I have listened to Myss's other works and was excited about listening to this one. I was let down. In fact, I had to force myself to finish Part One but will not finish part two unless I have nothing else to do and am extraordinarily bored

  • As a Man Thinketh

    • UNABRIDGED (38 mins)
    • By James Allen
    • Narrated By Kevin T. Norris

Disease and health, like circumstances, are rooted in thought. Sickly thoughts will express themselves through a sickly body. Thoughts of fear have been known to kill a man as speedily as a bullet and they are continually killing thousands of people just as surely though less rapidly. The people who live in fear of disease are the people who get it.

    M. Shults says: "Best material, worst reading"
    "Great content, horrible narrator"

This is a classic book that deserved a much better reading than is presented in this audio book. To me, it seems that the reader just wanted to "get it done." He is boring and emotionless. Buy the book and read it or listen to this audio version and be so bored that you risk missing its message!

  • The Naked Buddha: A Practical Guide to the Buddha's Life and Teachings

    • UNABRIDGED (5 hrs and 38 mins)
    • By Venerable Adrienne Howley
    • Narrated By Deidre Rubenstein

For the many people who are interested in learning more about Buddhism, here is a primer on Buddhism and Buddhist practice written in a deceptively simple manner, with an engaging, gentle humor and flavor. Adrienne Howley's purpose is to demystify Buddhism, stripping away the layers of ritual and iconography that have grown up around it over the centuries, and to present the original, basic tenets and practices.

Greg says: "A very good place to start"
    "Wish it didn't end"

I can't find one thing that I don't love about this book. The narrator has the perfect voice for this book, which is very well written and non assuming. Whether your are or are not a Buddhist, you should listen to this book. I have studied Buddhism for years but still learned some wonderful things from this book! Excellent!

  • Magnificent Mind at Any Age: Natural Ways to Unleash Your Brain's Maximum Potential

    • UNABRIDGED (12 hrs and 18 mins)
    • By Daniel G. Amen
    • Narrated By Marc Cashman
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

It all starts with your brain: how you think, how you feel, how you interact with others, and how well you succeed in realizing your goals and dreams. When your brain works right, so do you. When it's out of balance, you feel frustrated, or worse. Yet amid all the advice that bombards us daily about how to keep the rest of our body strong and healthy, we hear very little about how to keep the most complex and magnificent organ of all, the human brain, in top working order.

    Thomas says: "Wonderful Info"
    "Wonderful Info"

All in all, this is a great book. The reason I give it only 4 stars is that yo have to listen to a lot of info that may or may not pertain to you and the supplements and meds he talks have complex names. A certain must read for anyone interested in true self growth and a better understanding of their brain

  • The Biology of Belief

    • ABRIDGED (3 hrs and 21 mins)
    • By Bruce H. Lipton
    • Narrated By Bruce H. Lipton

Since the publication of The Biology of Belief, Dr. Bruce Lipton has received widespread acclaim as one of the most accessible and knowledgeable voices of "new biology". The science is called epigenetics – a revolutionary field that shows us how the energy of consciousness is as important in shaping life on earth as DNA and chemistry.

    Michelle says: "A Must-read"

I could make this a rather lengthy review but instead, I will just say that this book is awesome. Many may be turned off for the first part as it seems like going back to Biology class. But the first part is needed to support the claims made later in the book. And the claims are big, however, entirely feasible. Great book
