World-renowned psychiatrist Viktor Frankl's Man's Search for Meaning is one of the most important books of modern times. Frankl's personal story of finding a reason to live in the most horrendous of circumstances, Nazi concentration camps, has inspired millions. Now, Prisoners of Our Thoughts applies Frankl's philosophy to the workplace.

    "Tough"
    Overall

This was a tough book for me to get through. In fact, I have yet to muster the strength to do so. The writer is very passionate about his subject and is very knowlegable, but I am not sure if the low quality recording or the lack of a professional narrator did him justice.

Fairly basic stuff. I suppose it would be good if you suffered from extreme anxiety from speaking and forget to do your checklist of the remedial steps.

Why we think it’s a great listen: Got 40 hours to kill? You’ll find the time when you start listening to Lee’s take on Follett’s epic – and widely celebrated – novel of 12th-century England. The Pillars of the Earth tells the story of Philip, prior of Kingsbridge, a devout and resourceful monk driven to build the greatest Gothic cathedral the world has known...of Tom, the mason who becomes his architect - a man divided in his soul...and of the beautiful, elusive Lady Aliena, haunted by a secret shame....

This is the first fiction book I have ever listened to and it was amazing. What an exciting story with real life principles. This book will make you appreciate how good we have it as well as understand the underlying needs and motivation of human nature. Be prepared for a long journey, but well worth it.
