Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

no... I think there are better works by these authors

If you’ve listened to books by Mercedes Lackey before, how does this one compare?

Very disappointing. It had none of the usual magic that makes her books so compelling. Very bland

What does Kate Black-Regan bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

good read and good depth in the characters. very easy to build a picture in your mind

Do you think The Fire Rose needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

No. this story was flossed out to the extremes just to make it as long as it was. it wasn't done well and a follow up would just be ridiculous.

What did you like best about Montana Sky? What did you like least?

The main Character seems to be involved with a guy who doesn't seem to take no for an answer.... seem pretty standard but, the aggression portrayed and the way he forces her... No always means no. not themes I think should be promoted in society and not something i thought i would find in one of Nora's books.

What could Nora Roberts have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

not portrayed the relationship between the lead characters as being one that borders on abusive.

There are some odd things about Nate’s new apartment. Of course, he has other things on his mind. He hates his job. He has no money in the bank. No girlfriend. No plans for the future. So while his new home isn’t perfect, it’s livable. The rent is low, the property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don’t nag at him too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela’s apartment. And Tim’s. And Veek’s.

I have stolen princesses back from sleeping barrow kings. I burned down the town of Trebon. I have spent the night with Felurian and left with both my sanity and my life. I was expelled from the University at a younger age than most people are allowed in. I tread paths by moonlight that others fear to speak of during day. I have talked to Gods, loved women, and written songs that make the minstrels weep. My name is Kvothe. You may have heard of me.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

maybe... if you are a fan of the genre, perhaps you would enjoy it but.... its a very long winded story that doesn't seem to go anywhere or have a real end point or climax.

Was The Name of the Wind worth the listening time?

I sped it up just to finnish it but still didn't really get into it.
