    Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

    I was a total Valley Girl. Grew up in San Fernando Valley and Duran Duran was my band. Saw them in concert at least 4 times and just recently this summer 2012, at Pacific Amphitheater in Costa Mesa. This glimpse in the life of the band made me disheartened. i wanted to read about exciting, juicy tidbits that I never knew. John Taylor is a wuss! He comes across as a total non-rock star, scared to say anything negative about anybody. Ya, he was devoted to his parents and his friends but come on that is most everybody's story. I dont care to read about how he lost his eye contact during a concert, his VW was named Suki or a parking ticket he doesnt remember receiving arrives in mail. He glosses over all his one night stands, disagreements with other band mates, and his drug use. I am not even into Rolling Stones or Aerosmith but Keith Richards and Steven Tyler's bio was so much more open, truthful and shocking. I say don't waste your time on this.
