    Any additional comments?

Meg Meeker is not a psychologist, sociologist, or therapist. She's a pediatrician with outspoken religious and conservative convictions. In other words, she is not qualified to write an objective, fact-based book on healthy father-daughter relationships. Yet the book is presented as though she is an expert in psychology and sociology. This is potentially damaging pseudo-science. Her website actually states, "Dr. Meg Meeker is the country’s leading authority on parenting, teens and children’s health." Pretty impressive for someone who's never done one ounce of research or published one research document or even been certified in psychology or sociology.

It is not long before the survivors, outlaws, renegades, and carrion eaters start to gather, picking over the bones of the dead and fighting for the spoils of the soon-to-be dead. Now in the Seven Kingdoms, as the human crows assemble over a banquet of ashes, daring new plots and dangerous new alliances are formed, while surprising faces, some familiar, others only just appearing, are seen emerging from an ominous twilight of past struggles and chaos to take up the challenges ahead.

This is my 41st book from audible and the only one I've ever felt compelled to review. I know that it's hard to adjust to a new narrator after listening to the first 3 books in the series with a different one, but this is something more. It's as if John Lee is mocking Mr. Martin's writing. His over dramatic, sly-speak, as if every character were the fox in the Gingerbread Man, makes it impossible to get a sense of mood from any scene. And I have no idea which character is talking from one sentence to the next because they apparently all talk the same. This is the first book I couldn't finish and the first time that I'm going to demand a refund from Audible. An absolute joke.

P.S. I didn't want to rate the story since I didn't finish, but the interface wouldn't let me proceed to steps 2 and 3 of the review without setting all 3 ratings. I give Mr. Martin the benefit of the doubt given the supremacy of his other works.
