2057. Humanity has raised exploiting the solar system to an art form. Bella Lind and the crew of her nuclear-powered ship, the Rockhopper, push ice. They mine comets. And they're good at it. The Rockhopper is nearing the end of its current mission cycle, and everyone is desperate for some much-needed R & R, when startling news arrives from Saturn: Janus, one of Saturn's ice moons, has inexplicably left its natural orbit and is now heading out of the solar system at high speed.

The scale of this book is epic. There is also changes that occur over great swaths of time. Do not let the disconnected nature at the beginning of some chapters disorientate you. The author does a masterful job of delivering a multifaceted connected narrative. The readers performance is equally amazing. High recommend for Sci-Fi and Fiction fans alike!

There are some odd things about Nate’s new apartment. Of course, he has other things on his mind. He hates his job. He has no money in the bank. No girlfriend. No plans for the future. So while his new home isn’t perfect, it’s livable. The rent is low, the property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don’t nag at him too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela’s apartment. And Tim’s. And Veek’s.

I downloaded this book on a whim because it was advertised and well rated. Well since then I have had my mother, wife, and best friend read the book through kindle purchases I have made. This book is well paced and keeps you very interested. I agree with the synopsis that it is somewhat like combining the TV show Lost ( and there is even a reference to it) with a haunted mansion. The characters are well through out and each have a distinct personality with interesting back stories. The characters are further brought to life through great voice acting and narration. This book was a welcome surprise and I highly recommend it!

    Any additional comments?

Having listened to the First volume of the Thrawn Series done by Thompson, I knew I had to wait until he completed his versions of the second two volumes. I am glad I waited. The story is excellent, as most people already know. However, Thompson gives an excellent performance enhanced by a great and not overbearing soundtrack, deliver an amazing entertainment experience. Get this audio-book, you will not be disappointed.
