A former Delta Force commander, Brad Taylor proves with this breathtaking debut thriller that Vince Flynn and Brad Thor have company. A collection of top operatives, the Taskforce was commissioned by the highest levels of government, kept secret from the media and even Congress. The best of the Taskforce bunch, Pike Logan knows the greatest threat to American security is one or two idealogues. Unfortunately for them, they’ve just crossed Pike’s path.

This has to be the worst book I have listened to in a long time. I am really upset that Vince Flynn recommended it! The build up was non-existent, the plot was nowhere and the characters had no depth what so ever. Do not waste your money!

Danny Owen. A hard-charging detective who thrives on the thrill of the chase, the danger in the catch. His life is the street. Dark alleys and vicious crimes fill his every waking moment, and often his dreams. Until tragedy turns his world upside down. Transferred to District One, considered the tamest slice of the city, Danny is partnered with veteran detective Jack James, a cool and methodical investigator whose near legendary tenure is considered pivotal in creating the District's peaceful environment. But even shining cities have their shadows, and the new partners find themselves facing a cold and calculating killer.

Where does Cop Killer rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Very high, a lot of unexpected twists and turns. Great character building and the story was very believable. Easy to listen to; great narrator.

What other book might you compare Cop Killer to and why?

Actual it's a great story that's unique in my opinion. Normal cop stuff but the story line was unique.

What about Charles Hinckley’s performance did you like?

His voice is deep. He was really able to build suspense in the cadence of his voice. My pet peeve is when male narrators can't do women well, but he did an excellent job. He also was able to give all characters their own voice, so you could easily follow the dialogue.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Yes

    Any additional comments?

I hope to see more books narrated by Charles Hinckley.

At a Mexican roadblock, a U.S. Embassy SUV is stopped at gunpoint, three of its passengers murdered, and a fourth kidnapped. Everything points to the drug cartels, especially when the kidnappers say they will return the hostage if a cartel kingpin is released from U.S. federal prison. But when word gets to Charley Castillo and his group of “retired” spies and special operators, they have their doubts.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

    No one.

What could W. E. B. Griffin and William E. Butterworth have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Put some action into it! Boring, Boring, Boring! There was nothing but previous story information through the whole book and made the story extremely confusing to follow. . Everyone associated with the lead character had an ego the wouldn't quit!! It was annoying and tiring to listen to! Additionally, any man that would tell other men that his girlfriend was busy getting a bikini wax, is rude and stupid.

Have you listened to any of Dick Hill’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Dick Hill is always great. This was no exception.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

    NONE

    Overall

I really liked this book. The plot was believeable, the characters were interesting and had depth, the visions of the main characters past was tragic, but again believeable. The book really held my interest, but I was really disapointed by the ending as it was sort of a let down to what could have been a really good climatic ending. It was also too sad....

I purchased a previous Walt Longmire Mystery and like it very much so I decided to buy a few more. I absolutely love the complex character that is Walt and the way he interacts with others within these books. The stories are always well thought out and believable and completely enjoyable. Nothing bad can be said of the narrations by George Guidall, he does the different characters so well! I can't wait to read the next one!

    Overall

This book was really a wonderful "listen". I really liked the narraters voice and how he was able to change his tone without sounding wierd. The story line was very engaging and so were the characters. I've always loved Michael Connelly's books, but this is one of his best!
