I loved Michelle's 'Cast in' series. This new book was so disappointing. Not the quality of her first series of work. I was three hours into the book and waiting for it to actually start. The story never got ground, the characters were one-dimensional. I am returning this book. Hopeful for future work from her since her first series I was addicted to! Oh, and the narrator was not easy to listen to. It was like she didn't stay a consistent distance from the microphone. The volume would go so soft at times I had to replay it to hear it.
I am in such awe of how Briggs makes such an interesting story-line that has me hooked from the moment I start it! This one will not disappoint you!
This is a great book that any parent or teen should hear/read. It reminded me somewhat of Frank Parretti's This Present Darkness and sequel but this definitely stands on its own merits. This is the first fiction of Alcorn's I've read and I am impressed. I have loved his non-fiction for years and this was same caliber.
Another great one in the long line of Feehan's books! If you are a fan of her work, you will love this book!
Wonderful story, however, the music ending a chapter and between chapters was annoying and distracting. The second book of the series was even better, so I would urge someone to overlook the music! It's worth it! And the second book (which I just completed) does NOT have the music.
This book was fun to listen to. I love the descriptions of the different types of "people" and the suspense was great!
