"Maybe I read too much????"
But this book bored me. I skipped through a lot of the book. The intimate scenes were kinda hot, but after a while, they, too, got old. Nick, to me, had no redeeming qualities aside from the fact that he was, apparently, good in bed and Bess was weak for putting up with Andy for 20 years. Sadly disappointed that I wasted my monthly credit.
"LOVE IT!"
I write reviews for SEP books only for the purpose of others because I will always know, without a single doubt, that anything that has her name on it, will be a hit and this one is definitely no exception to this rule of thumb for me. Kenny is hilarious; Emma, I adore and the secondary characters, primarily Tori and Dexter, are great, too. The narrator: one of my absolute favorites.
"Hmm....."
Where to start?? The book, overall, was a indeed a good one. In my opinion, however, I found the ending to be very anti-climatic. The build-up was great but at the end it just seemed to sort of fizz out.
"BORED...ME...TO...TEARS"
Oh, my god! This book bored me senseless. Jane was a b*tch throughout the majority of the book and Dev was an idiot for putting up with it.
"A little disappointing..."
I thought this book was supposed to be about Liberty, Hardy AND Gage, but it was more like the Liberty & Hardy show. Gage wasn't even introduced until the last 3.5 hours of the book. It was a good book overall, but I feel LK went a little TOO in-depth into Liberty's past and didn't really give enough time to Liberty & Gage to grow their relationship.
"First time reader of LK"
This is the first book I've read/listened to by Lisa Kleypas and I'm very pleased with the storyline. Nothing overly dramatic, but a nice listen to get you through your day. Another member posted about the reader....I'll admit I was initially turned off by her voice, but it only took me a few minutes to get used to it, and by then I was so engrossed in the story that her voice didn't bother me at all. I got used to it. Overall, a great listen. I'll definitely be checking out some of her other books.
"SEP doesn't disappoint"
If you've read "Nobody's Baby But Mine", this book finishes out the Bonner brothers. It's a great book about a woman who will do whatever it takes to get what she wants, and what she wants is a life that is secure and safe for her young son. She has a backbone made of steel and the hero is a man who is determined to break her so she'll go away. Of course, she doesn't let him and they both end up better for it.
"A little piece of Heaven"
I adored this book. B.T. was a bit of an a$$ throughout the book, but he had his moments of redemption. I loved how the ending brought all of B.T.'s feelings toward Grace to the surface. Sweet book!
