Throughout the Disputed Lands, she is called "Amber the Untouched" - a chaste, golden-haired beauty fleeing the remarkable love that was prophesied at her birth...and the death that must inevitably follow.

    "What a waste of money"

I had to stop listening. The narator's high thin voice sounded very silly when reading the part of a war hardened warrior. Not the story or characterisation I expected after enjoying the first book of the series.

Pirriwee Public is a beautiful little beachside primary school where children are taught that 'sharing is caring.' So how has the annual School Trivia Night ended in full-blown riot? Sirens are wailing. People are screaming. The principal is mortified. And one parent is dead. Was it a murder, a tragic accident or just good parents gone bad? As the parents at Pirriwee Public are about to discover, sometimes it's the little lies that turn out to be the most lethal.

A recommended read. Five stars. It downloaded perfectly as one book.

The House of Farrell - home of The Cream, an iconic face product that has seen women flocking to its bijoux flagship store in the Berkeley Arcade since 1953. At Farrell, you can rely on the personal touch. The legendary Athina Farrell remains the company's figurehead and in her kingdom at the Berkeley Arcade, Florence Hamilton plies their cosmetics with the utmost discretion. She is sales advisor - and holder of secrets - extraordinaire. But of course the world of cosmetics is changing and the once glorious House of Farrell is now in decline.

This is an engaging story filled with an interesting variety of characters.
The clever narrator makes each voice distinctive and original, with her talented display of nuance, timing and metre.
This is an audiobook to take you away from your own world and spirit you into the intrigues of another.

Suddenly, he makes a demand that puts her career on the line and sets the emotional stakes so high they send her reeling. Megan is about to enter a world of limos and luxury, deception and false hope – and games that can break a woman’s heart....

    "I can't believe it's by Sandra Brown"
    Overall

This book has a tissue thin plot line. The main female character has all the emotional range of a three year old. If your idea of romance is shallow manipularive behaviour, this is the book for you. Don't waste your time and money.

Meet Carrie Bradshaw before Sex and the City! The Carrie Diaries is the coming-of-age story of one of the most iconic characters of our generation. Before Sex and the City, Carrie Bradshaw was a small-town girl who knew she wanted more. She's ready for real life to start, but first she must navigate her senior year of high school. Up until now, Carrie and her friends have been inseparable. Then Sebastian Kydd comes into the picture, and a friend's betrayal makes her question everything.

    "Insufferable Naration"
    Overall

I enjoy Candace Bushnell as an author and was looking forward to this book.
I was unable to get past the first 15 minutes, after which I found the high pitched, silly voice of the narator unbearable. I have enjoyed Audible's top narators such as Humphrey Bower and Deidre Rubenstein. The timbre and variation in their voices make listening a joy.

Nicholas Duncan is a semi-retired shipping magnate who resides in idyllic Beautiful Bay in Indonesia, where he is known as the old patriarch of the islands. He is grieving the loss of his beautiful Eurasian wife, Anna, and is suffering for the first time from disturbing flashbacks to WWII, the scene of their first meeting and early love. His other wartime lover is the striking Marg Hamilton, a powerful and influential political player in Australia who has remained close to Nick.

Johnnie Walker says: "Audible Bought the Wrong Book"
"Top Naration of a Great Story"
    Overall

I was so impressed with Humphrey Bower's naration. His ability to portray many nationalities with accurate accents really added to my enjoyment of this book. This story of Bryce Courtenay's is so entertaining, I really appreciate the research that assists the author weaving interesting historical,
geographical, and sociological facts into a great story.
