Of all the dukes in England, Jered Marcus Benton, the Duke of Bradford, was the wealthiest, most handsome — and most arrogant. And of all London’s ladies, he wanted the tender obedience of only one — Caroline Richmond. She was a ravishing beauty from Boston, with a mysterious past and a fiery spirit. Drawn to the powerful duke, undeterred by his presumptuous airs, Caroline was determined to win his lasting love.

The selfish and gorgeous Greek God Triton is cast out of Olympus after seducing Zeus' mistress and can only gain reentry if he finds a woman who loves him for his kindness and selflessness, not his beauty. When the mortal Sophia - recovering from an eye operation and virtually blind - needs a home healthcare worker, he takes on the role, hoping she will be his ticket home.

I'm a huge fan of the Scanguards series so I went ahead and gave this book a try. I did enjoy this book it is a nice piece of romantic fluff, although I like the other series better. I am also a fan of stories with the Greek mythology included, my favorite being Sherrilyn Kenyon for romance and Percy Jackson for kids. The story line wouldn't have been my first pick, but since it was Tina Folsom I gave it a try. With that in mind I wasn't a huge fan of Triton, he does improve immensely which is why I continued on with the story. Overall a 3.5 rating. I will probably read the remaining books eventually, but I might wait for a sale. Narrator is good, he has a nice sexy voice.

An enjoyable romantic tale of time travel. I would have like to have seen more length to the story for I believe there was more to be told. I liked the characters and the world building was good for the length. The narrator does a great job reading. I did pick this up with the 25% off semiannual sale and it was worth the price.

Plagued by a war between magic and technology, Atlanta has never been so deadly. Good thing Kate Daniels is on the job. Kate Daniels may have quit the Order of Merciful Aid, but she's still knee-deep in paranormal problems. Or she would be if she could get someone to hire her. Starting her own business has been more challenging than she thought it would be - now that the Order is disparaging her good name, and many potential clients are afraid of getting on the bad side of the Beast Lord, who just happens to be Kate's mate.

Another great addition to the Kate Daniels series. I love Kate's smart ass, kick butt character and Curran's alpha nature. Life after mating isn't all chocolate and roses, sometimes you have to save the city in between. I appreciate that there is a good supernatural mystery going on in the story even if sometimes it was a bit confusing. I will say this isn't my favorite book in this series, but all are good and I plan on reading all the books in the series. It did throw me off for a sec when the audio stated that "this is the end of the cd." I imagine it was missed when editing the audio. Narrator was great and has a perfect tone for Kate's dry wit.

I had pre-ordered this book but after reading all the negative reviews I was reluctant to listen to this book. Since I don't like to leave things unfinished I decided to go ahead and read it. I really wish I hadn't. The writing is the same but I wish the story line had been better. It was very disappointing with a crappy ending and a weird change of direction for the story. Maybe I'll like the movies better. I liked both of the narrators, even though I'm not a fan of duel narrations. Which was another weird change to get both Tris and Four's point of view, when in the first two book there was only Tris.

This book seems to be geared more towards hoarders or forgetful people. There are lots of good tips for people who need it, but the book really wasn't for me. I'm totally a get rid of stuff person and I don't like nick knacks. I bought this on sale thinking maybe a new organization tip would help, only most the information I already knew and the author was condescending especially since he thought his way was the only way. Truthfully I didn't actually finish this book because there was nothing new for me. I grew up with a father who has OCD so doing things perfect were a way of life for me. But when I had my son, time grew thin. Then one year later I was diagnosed with cancer and at that point I stopped doing things perfect. Luckily I'm now in remission and I'm still really organized. I learned that I don't have to have every spot gone or all the chores done right away. Life is too short not to go and do the things you want or be with the people you love.

It’s not easy being life’s own personal joke, but Josette Landry has made an unstable peace with the beast. Life will continue to throw every bad thing it has at her, and she will continue to not put her head in an oven. But that’s okay. That which doesn’t kill her will just require a few hours of mental insanity. Completely down on her luck, Josette takes a job with a local paranormal group as a photographer and camerawoman. Yeah, they’re even crazier than she is. The only paranormal thing she believes in is the miracle that keeps her rusted out hoopty running.

I felt like this book was the return to SK regular books. Sherrilyn Kenyon is the queen of tortured hero's and this book is no exception. Luckily it was one where the hero wasn't so tortured that it was too painful to listen to. I'm always a sucker for a sassy heroine and Jo was great. Of course it was practically love at first sight which is a little unbelievable, but the story of how they escaped together for their happily ever after was the true story. I had quite of few chuckles over the freaky Friday moments. I also loved the return of old characters from books past. I don't recommend reading this book or any in the series without reading them in order. Narrator rocks of course, gotta love Holter Graham.

This book is a bit of a disappointment, I have high expectations from Thea Harrison. The book wasn't bad but if this had been the first one of the series I would have had my doubts about reading any more. Overall I would rate it 3.5 stars due to the fact I love the other books. Four hours into the story and it's going on and on about training and the heroines fear of vampires, no real plot. It was a little overkill and I wanted more romance and adventure like the other books. The characters are boring and Tess is a weak character who considers all vampires as monsters for way too long into the book. Tess was afraid of Xavier for most of the book and suddenly she is practically jumping him. I didn't feel the slow build up that was intended because Xavier was gone most of the time Tess was at his house. It wasn't until about six hours into the story that the book picked up some with the confrontation with the Djinn but that too was anticlimactic. This book missed the mark for me, fortunately I'm a huge fan of the series so I will be reading more from this author. Still the writing was good, only the story needs more substance. Probably the last two hours were the best part of the whole book. The Vampyre stories are my least favorite in the series, for me the Wyr stories are the best. Same narrator as the rest of the series, she does a good job.

Atlanta would be a nice place to live, if it weren't for the magic. When the magic is up, rogue mages cast their spells and monsters appear, while guns refuse to fire and cars fail to start. But then technology returns, and the magic recedes as unpredictably as it arose. Kate Daniels works for the Order of Knights of Merciful Aid, officially as a liaison with the mercenary guild. Unofficially, she cleans up the paranormal problems no one else wants to handle - especially if they involve Atlanta's shapeshifting community.

Okay after reading four books in this series I am officially hooked. It took me a few books to really sink my teeth into the series. Now I'm in it to the finish. Kate is awesome a kick ass, smart ass who doesn't put up with anybody's crap. Curran and Kate make an explosive couple and I'm glad they finally came together. I love the references to the book Princess Bride. Each book has a disaster that has occurred usually by bad guys and somehow Kate figures out how to get rid of them with a little help from her friends. Not to mention I love her new dog. Narrator shines with this series.

Let's just say that I really liked this book. The first part of the story was better than the last but it did have HEA. As a fan of Blue Lagoon, Six Days Seven Nights and Stranded I snatched this book up right away. I'm all about the romance while under extreme conditions, especially on a beach. I know there was some beef about the age difference for Anna and TJ. I think that it wasn't the age difference only that TJ was only 16 at the start. Knowing that he has survived cancer is a big way to grow up fast, so TJ was more mature than the average 16 year old. Not to worry nothing untoward happens until after TJ turned 18. If it had been an older man and a younger woman most people wouldn't have blinked an eye. There is some mild sex and cussing in the book. I kept wonder if the narrator had somewhere to go? Because she was racing to get through this book. It takes a bit to get immersed it the story because I felt like my mind had to race to catch up with the words to understand what was happening. I think she would have done an excellent job if she had paced herself.

I managed to get this audio for free back in 2013 for Valentines and I wasn't sure about it so it has taken me a while to listen to it. So I figured I would give it an hour chance, fortunately it is better than I thought it would be. It's a nice light romance that has a smidge of mystery involving a stalker. Narrator sounds a bit too much like a little girl and it is a little grating, but she improves over the book or at least I stopped noticing it as much. This book is the first book in a series, The Winning Season is the second. Thanks Audible for the freebie.
