"A Tremendous Tale"
Rick Riordan continues to shine light into the forgotten corners of Mythology. Sharing the fabulous stories of the past with the modern audience. It is a series with exceptional diversity, action, humor and a sense of style. If your looking for a series of books that breaks the mold of children's literature look no further.
"The Treecat Saga Continues"
In the vane of excellent stories about well developed, strong female main characters, Fire Season continues the adventure of Stephanie and Lionheart. If you enjoyed Hunger Games, I expect you will enjoy this series. If your a Honorverse fan it does gives nice insight into Treecats.
"Refreshing, Humorous, not Mr.Abnett's Best"
A very amusing work, refreshing and very much in keeping with the new style. It is interesting to see Abnett's work independent of other IP. I look forward to where he goes with this, with some more work the characters will likely improve.
"A New Voice for a New Chapter."
I'll be the first to admit, it is hard to get used to a new reader. I have enjoyed the previous Readers work so much getting used the new "voices" is difficult. But that shouldn't prevent you from enjoying the new story. I suspect there may have been a new editor or something involved, there were a couple wording choices in the first part that weren't consistent with the previous books. However if your new to the series this is a great place to start, it does a wonderful job of re-introducing the setting in whole new light.
