"The Best is Yet to Come"
This is the first of the Dark Tower series of stories, but it was written by King in the early 1970's. He had yet to acquire his incredible visionary writing style that he is most known for, so this story, however amazing, is not his best work. However, the Dark Tower series absolutely is his best! So in order to read the remaining stories and understand everything about them, The Gunslinger is a must read.
"Unbroken is Unparalleled"
Multiple friends told me about this book before I listened to it and although I had heard of Laura Hillenbrand, mostly for Seabiscuit, I hadn't read/listened to a book of hers yet.
Unbroken is absolutely a brilliant, compelling, tear jerking book of what the human soul can tolerate. Brilliantly researched and wonderfully written. A must read/listen.
"First Family"
I'm a big Baldacci fan and I like the two main characters of this series, but this book felt rushed. Rushed as in the writing was not as well thought out and the plot not as tight as other Baldacci stories. Still worth a listen, but not his best. Won't stop me from listening to the next in the series though.
"Christmas fun"
I love the movie that came from this story so I was thrilled to have a chance to listen to the original story. It did not disapoint. I listened to it and then listened again with my 11 year old son. We both enjoyed it immensely.
"Oliver's Awesome"
Loved it. The Camel Club series is quickly becoming one of my favorites. Long live Oliver and his friends.
