"Lovely - as usual"
I love Amy Lane books. I actually have this book and bought in again in audio, just to have it handy. Wish there were more of her books in audible format.
Whisky
laugh!
"started OK"
No really! The Canadian setting is lovely but the rest is not enough to recommend the book
Felt like author was adding unnecessary twists to fill in the number of pages required.
As well, although the author may not have intended to show any bias, but to have him point out that one character was of native decent and have that person be the one truly unlikable character in the book, just does not sit well with me at all!
light and funny in the beginning - towards the end of the book, most of the voices sounded the same.
"What not to love!"
I just love these books and reading about Ty and Zane's growing relationship is fabulous!
Hard to pick between the 2, but I do like the stoic Zane
Yes, not usually my favourite, but he did very well here and in Fish and Chips
Please add the rest of the books to Audible... although I have the whole series, it is always good to walk while listening to them banter.
"Small part of a greater story"
It felt like it was written for all the characters encountered in the first 2 books
because it was too full of other stories, Jeff & Colin got lost & I did not feel a connection to their relationship even though it was well presented.
Yes, I usually really like his narration but it fell short in this book. The voices were unconvincing and more so than Book II, I felt that Mr. Morey did not have a good grasp of his characters. For example it made no sense for me at least why the voice "big stupid cop" kept getting younger, while Crick's 17 year-old sister started to sound like a mature man.
Crick and Deacon after the operation!
"great story - bad narration"
NO - and I have both
I love both MCs, but I liked Leo too
the sound effects sounded superficial and fake, should have not been done.
Both
I love Amy Lane's books, I wish this one's narration was better because the story is wonderful.
"Disappointing!"
Although I generally like SEP's novels, and have been waiting for this one, this book was way long - with too much side details. The development of story-line and characters this time was below her other novels. I kept thinking just finish the book already. It was actually boring at parts, annoying at others and the end was hardly convincing!
make it shorter.
was better with her last SEP novel
"Just lovely"
At first the narration was a bit difficult to follow, but it was certainly worth it. Enjoy!
