I just can't seem to get through this book due to the poor narration. Her 'percise diction' and inconsistant tone is beyond annoying. The characters are unappealing and bland due to this and I find myself angry with the main character for her 'snooty' attitude. I hope that the next Debbie Macomber novel is narrated by a more appealing individual. If it were possible, I'd ask for my money back!
Her attempt at perfect diction left the listener cold. I couldn't identify with any of the characters due to the clipped, authoritative tone she gave each character.
I just couldn't get into the story and was very disappointed with this purchase.
I purchased this book on a whim. I am glad I did! A wonderful story in every sense of the word. The narrator was wonderful and the story kept me in suspense until the end. An excellent listen!!
I loved the author's first book so I decided to give this one a try and I am thrilled that I did! A wonderful, heartwarming story. I didn't want it to end! The narrator is just perfect! A truly delightful book through and through!
No, it's not the typical Baldacci book-- This switch of genre demonstrates the author's ability as a writer. It's was a wonderful surprise.
It is a heartwarming story-- Just loved it.-- especially the ending!
The epilogue-- very touching and heartfelt. It wrapped the book up in a wonderful bow.
I recommend this book to everyone! It has become one of my all time favorite books!
Boring. Try as I might- I just couldn't get invested enough in the book to continue listening after the first few chapters. I would avoid this book!
I found the story interesting but was continually annoyed by the author's lack of geographical accuracy. She continually has her characters refer to their home in Connecticut as being below New York City!!
I always head north from NYC to CT.
the story at times seemed pointless
Was hard to hang in till the flat ending
