I can't say enough good things about the man of a thousand accents and voices Malcolm Hillgartner. He made this drab, overly long story somewhat interesting. I was let down by this book because it was a big shift from Stephensons' other cyber-punk novels to all action with tons of guns and blood. Don't waste your credit if you don't like mindless action.

I had seen the movie many times before but never read the book. When I started to listen, right away I felt that the tone was much darker, if that's possible. You really feel bad for Paul Sheldon, the writer "rescued" by insane former nurse that forces him to write for his life. Cringe-inducing torture scenes will make you think twice about finishing but you will be glad you did because this is an amazing book.

This book has everything: time travel, a beautiful love story, and likable, real characters you can relate to. Also Craig Wasson, narrator of Full Dark, No Stars is narrator and he doesn't disappoint. Fantastic performance that makes a long book not feel that way. Although it would have been nice if all the african-american characters didn't sound like Rochester from the Jack Benny show. Other than this fully enjoyable

This well-written portrayal of the genius founder of Apple Steve Jobs is hard to put down once you get started. Thankfully, the author was allowed by Jobs to get the true story behind his interesting life by interviewing his former employees, friends and family. The best part is following his long list of amazing accomplishments while learning the inside secrets of his troubled personal life. Amazing book!!

I love this book. I love the creepy isolation of the locale in which Mike Noonan goes to try to figure out his writers block following the death of his beloved wife, Jo. But I could not give Stephen King a pass when it came to the narration. He was monotone and annoying, and he couldn't even say "ayuh" right. coming from Maine he should hear that 50 times a day. Aside from this definitely one of his scariest books, check it out.

This book is a mish-mash of different genres. Part treasure hunt, part trip down memory lane (if alive during the 80's, if not a new look into one of the greatest decades in history) this book will grab you and not let go.
A billionaire game designer with an obsession with the 80's decides to leave his sizable estate to whoever can follow the clues he left in the internet world he created called the Oasis that will lead the hunter to his ultimate prize. The first clue is hidden for 5 years until a young man finally gets the ball rolling...
I can't recommend this book enough for geeks or anyone that grew up in this amazing time.
