In her small early-19th-century Welsh town, there is no one quite like Morgana. She is small and quick and pretty enough to attract a suitor, but there are things that set her apart from other girls. Though her mind is sharp she has not spoken since she was a young girl. Her silence is a mystery, as well as her magic - the household objects that seem to move at her command, the bad luck that visits those who do her ill. Concerned for her safety, her mother is anxious to see Morgana married....

Robert Louis Stevenson's cherished, unforgettable adventure magically captures the thrill of a sea voyage and a treasure hunt through the eyes of its teenage protagonist, Jim Hawkins. Crossing the Atlantic in search of the buried cache, Jim and the ship's crew must brave the elements and a mutinous charge led by the quintessentially ruthless pirate Long John Silver. Brilliantly conceived and splendidly executed, it is a novel that has seized the imagination of generations of adults and children alike.

    Story
Would you listen to Treasure Island again? Why?

No. Only re-read this story to refresh my remembrance of it since it had been many years since I read it the first time. This time in listening instead of reading, I found that I have always tended to speed read and by listening, I actually appreciated the story more.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Treasure Island?

Probably when Silver revealed his true colors and started the sequence of deception.

Have you listened to any of Alfred Molina’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Have not listened to any before

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

    A young boy finds adventure.

    Any additional comments?

    Enjoyed the listening very much.
