Julian’s relentless energy and his extraordinary intellect electrify her, but she’s baffled by his sudden interest. This was one of the poorest books ever listened to from Audible. If you are not selective with your reading material, then this would be a filler. I cannot believe the high marks this book supposedly earned.

Fly Away is the story of three women who have lost their way and need each other - plus a miracle - to transform their lives. An emotionally-complex, heart-wrenching novel about love, family, motherhood, loss, and redemption, Fly Away reminds us that where there is life, there is hope and where there is love, there is forgiveness. Told with her trademark visceral storytelling and illuminating prose, Kristin Hannah reveals why she is one of the most beloved writers of our day.

Two-time Ned Kelly Award-winning author Michael Robotham has earned an international following with intense psychological thrillers like Shatter and Lost. The Wreckage is inspired by a real-life heist at the Central Bank of Iraq - the largest such crime in history. Millions of dollars are missing from Iraqi banks, and journalist Luca Terracini will stop at nothing to find the money. But the closer he gets to the truth, the more his actions reverberate around the world.

Would you listen to The Wreckage again? Why?

ABSOLUTELY. I think Michael Robotham is one of our BEST mystery writers. Impossible for me to understand any reviews that were not outstanding....he is a master of unpredictable intrigue and endings. I literally had to force myself to take a break from this spellbinding read. After reading Suspect, narrated by Simon Prebble, I suspected it would be difficult to listen to another narrator....I was wrong, Sean Barrett was unbeatable. I'm looking forward to Robotham's 'LOST" as my next book....I can't get enough of him.

What made the experience of listening to Suspect the most enjoyable?

The brilliant pairing of Simon Prebble and Michael Robotham, made this a listening pleasure.
So happy to have discovered Michael Robotham and immediately downloaded his other books narrated by Simon and Sean Barrett. I'm in 'mystery' Nivana...thanks, Audible!

What about Simon Prebble’s performance did you like?

BRILLIANT....He makes a book come alive...I could never get tired of his narrations.

In a riveting debut thriller that has drawn comparisons to masters of the genre like Dennis Lehane and Michael Connelly, Brian Freeman weaves obsession, sex, and revenge into a story that grips the reader with vivid characters and shocking plot twists from the first minute to the last.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

No fault of Joe Barrett, but I believe this book would have been more enjoyable had
Sean Barrett been the narrator. Joe's midwestern accent screeched to me at
important moments....somehow, it just didn't fit the drama of this story.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Couldn't put it down as there were so many twists and turns....very thrilling story.

The Good House tells the story of Hildy Good, who lives in a small town on Boston's North Shore. Hildy is a successful real-estate broker, good neighbor, mother, and grandmother. She's also a raging alcoholic. Hildy's family held an intervention for her about a year before this story takes place - "if they invite you over for dinner, and it’s not a major holiday," she advises "run for your life" - and now she feels lonely and unjustly persecuted. She has also fooled herself into thinking that moderation is the key.

What did you like best about Speaks the Nightbird? What did you like least?

The narration of this audiobook by Edoardo Ballerini was incredible. He more than did his work on this sordid novel and I will look for his other work. For me, the word putrid comes to mind in the needlessly long descriptions about the foulest of human conditons. I found this novel depressing and nauseous and could just as well have passed it by without missing
a thing, except the exceptional 'acting' of Mr. Ballerini.

Was Speaks the Nightbird worth the listening time?

    NO !!!!!

St Benjamin's Medical School is the greatest of its kind, any death occurring within its walls would have created ripples within the academic world, but the death of Nikki Exner is far from being ordinary. Raped, and then grotesquely executed, her theatrical murder horrifies everyone. John Eisenmenger, a former forensic pathologist, finds himself dragged unwillingly into the case. Teaming up with solicitor Helena Flemming, Eisenmenger sets out to discover what really did happen to Nikki Exner.

It is Nick and Amy Dunne's fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick's clever and beautiful wife disappears from their rented McMansion on the Mississippi River. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn't doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media - as well as Amy's fiercely doting parents - the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he's definitely bitter - but is he really a killer?

Why we think it’s a great listen: Seabiscuit was a runaway success, and Hillenbrand’s done it again with another true-life account about beating unbelievable odds. On a May afternoon in 1943, an Army Air Forces bomber crashed into the Pacific Ocean and disappeared, leaving only a spray of debris and a slick of oil, gasoline, and blood. Then, on the ocean surface, a face appeared.....
