"Same ole same ole"
I was surprised when the mystery was solved. Did not consider that person a suspect. Did not like the graghic sex. Women like a little to be left to the imagaination.
I would have left out about a third of it in the middle. Thought the story dragged there.
Yes, but the narrator did not differentiate enough with the different voices. I had trouble sometimes figuring out who was talking.
Yes, it was a good story. Just slow in places.
No
"Love it!!!"
Very moving story
Enza, without her there would be no story.
Still Enza
Yes, it was. I listened to it every chance I got. I could hardly turn it off, but it still took me the better part of three days to finish it.
I wa very touched by this story. I laughed with Enza and I cried with Enza. I don't know when a story has touched me like this one did. I will definitely listen to it again.
"Just O.K."
I didn't love the book, but I didn't hate it either. For me, it was just o.k. Once I started the book, I was interested enough to finish it, so I would have to say it was time well spent. However, by the time I got to part 3, I was restless, but determined to finish it, which I did.
I didn't have a problem with it. It definitely didn't spoil the book for me. I actually thought it was in keeping with the content of the rest of the book.
I didn't have a favorite. None of the characters were truely likeable.
I hope it ends here and does not go to movie status. That would definitely be a waste of time.
This is truely a book about dysfunctional people. I would say that applys to everyone including the lawyer.
"Very Disappointed"
Not likely
Yes
Great, great, great
All of them. I would totally start over with a new set of characters
I have been a fan of this series for many years. Up to this point I have read them all. This book was filled with profanity and 4-letter words. It was as if the author did not have enough story line and used profanity to fill the pages. If that is the kind of book you like, then this one is for you. For myself, I will stick with Vince Flynn, Lee Child, Mike Connelly & the other mystery writers who truly have a story to tell.
"Story grabbed my heart"
This is my first C J Box novel and I must say I was totally taken in. I had just finished listening to the Lincoln Lawyer and I was looking for a follow-up story that wouldn't let me down. This one didn't disappoint. I think anytime you have a story that involves children that are at risk, a certain amount of tension ensues. I simply couldn't put this book down. I listened to it every chance I got, and that hasn't happened in a long time. I will have to say, tho, I did not care for the ending; however, the book was an excellent read. I would encourage anyone to get it.
"Creepy"
Could not get past the father-daughter sex scene. It was too creepy. Will not purchase another novel by Linda Howard.
"Disappointed in Ending"
I liked this book. I enjoyed the narrator. The accent made the characters feel real. The only thing I did not like about this story was the ending. To me, it felt like loose ends. However, I would very much encourage you to buy the book. It will not be a waste of your credit!
