"great content, annoyingly narrated"
I thought the book was good but the narration a bit slow. I wished I had a speed up option on my ipod to speed the narrator up a notch or two.
"A great way to learn about our Founding Fathers"
I enjoyed this book. I am glad I decided on the abridged, however. The only thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars was the female who filled in the gaps occasionally. She reminded me of the voice on an emergency weather radio that I think is computerized, yuk!
"Fascinating and Funny"
If there's anyone who can be funny while listing some of the most depressing statistics and info it's Mark Steyn. This is a must read to get the big picture on the threat of Islam.
"Reads like novel.."
This book backs up the saying that, "Truth is stranger than fiction". Swanson's research and knowledge of all the characters in Lincoln's assasination combined with his amazing writing skill brought them to life. The history of this event jumped off the page. Highly recommend.
"Boring Listen"
I do like Chesterton, but often find his style hard to follow. This was just not easy to finish.
"Personable and Informative"
I loved this book because not only do you learn a lot about many saints, the author weaves them into his own autobiographical sketch. He highlights the saints meaning to him during a partcular time in his life. His story is also a testament to the energetic and interesting life a Jesuit leads. This book would be great for everyone, but especially good for someone considering the priesthood or religious life.
