This is a classic. The interview at the end of the program is a look into the thinking process of one of our great 20th century writers.
Since reading AS i've engaged in numerous conversations with those that have cited Rand's so called master piece as the template for government reform. During the conversations it becomes apparent that almost none of them have actually read the book.As a novel it had real possibilities but Rand spoils the story with her endless rants (multi-page sentences decrying the travails of society's brain trust. The parallel with 1984 is recognizable).
It had a chance but she fails to take advantage
It makes great insomnia medicine
Not only an excellent read but a very important work for our time.
I though it would never be over. He makes his point, over and over and over........
I do not see what all of the talk is about. I fould this one unplausible and very predictable. The main character is not the brilliant big city cop she is supposed to be. Instead, she is simply an idiot.
Very well written. Quite dark but but believable and enlightening. Like a train wreck I could'not stop watching, I could not quit this book.
