Would you consider the audio edition of Down the Darkest Road to be better than the print version?

I love the reader of this book - she has a catchy voice, and is easy to follow and understand - she brought the book to life for me, otherwise the print version - I probably wouldn't have read much more then the first few chapters...

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

I didn't really get into the book until the later chapters...

What does Kirsten Potter bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Where does Phantom Prey rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Prey is my favorite series...

What does Richard Ferrone bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He is by far, the best male reader that I have listened to... and I listen to ALOT of audio books... He just makes me chuckle - the way he reads Lucas or Virgil... I can just picture these two guys - just by how he reads their lines... and of course John Sanford for creating the perfect lines for him to read!!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I always laugh... he is such a down to earth writer - writes what people actually say...

Where does V Is for Vengeance rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

One of the better books I've read, but I always wait for this series - she combines some mystery with a good story, and Kinsie brings it some humor... I related with her!

Have you listened to any of Judy Kaye’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I don't remember any of the alphabet stories that I was disappointed with so far!

I always enjoy a good Kay Scarpetta... however she sounds so depressed these days - nothing ever seems to be well for her!

It took so darn long to reach a simple conclusion - so much repeating of lines, and story parts...

What didn’t you like about Jennifer Van Dyck’s performance?

I have discontinued listening to ANY book of which she reads... she ends every word with an extra long sssssssssssssssssss.. Yessssssssssssssss.... bout drives me nutz. Just tell the story - without so much drama. We are listeners that want to hear the story and reach our own conclusions, without the reader making the characters worse then they are. Sorry Jennifer - just not a fan.

I won't be finishing the rest - Bonnie or Joe... I'll read the reviews and learn the endings!

I have read all previous Temperance Brennan books, and seems they are just not as exciting or intense as the first books. Before, I couldn't wait until a new release, but now, I put Reichs on the bottom of my wish list. Sorry - just need more to keep my attention.
