Yes, enjoyable story
I will reluctantly listen to the listen to the next in the series - but the ending of this one ended one of the main storylines and you never get the happy ending you assume was meant to come.
When Merit wants to sleep next to Ethan.
This book was entertaining - it held my interest throughout. I will definitely purchase the books from the rest of the series.
The narrator is so bad at foreign accents! I don't think she actually knows what a spanish or russian accent sounds like because she got them all wrong.
The story focused solely on this werewolf wanting to force himself on a vampire for 6 chapters - to the point where I lost interest in the book. I couldn't make myself waste more time on this boring, lame book. There was no story or character development at all. The only reason to read this book is as supernatural porn - that's about it. I don't mind books with explicit love scenes but a story should be the primary focus - not the other way around.
I like that the story is light yet entertaining enough to hold my interest and keep me engaged in the story.
Probably not - I find Olivia's irrational and semi-stupid character annoying. The story is OK and entertaining enough but Olivia's character drags it down to where I don't think I will continue listening to this series - especially when there are so many books I'd rather listen to that are better. So I couldn't recommend this to someone else when I'm not even sold on the series.
Have Olivia stop being irrational and also, perhaps, listen to the people who have experience with danger instead of insisting she (who has had no experience) knows better. And perhaps discuss her relationship concerns with Cash instead of internalizing it. But of course doing something as common sense as communicating properly would've taken out a major part of this story - god forbit
I would not recommend because, though the author is talented at painting a picture and is a true wordsmith, I just felt no connection or interest in the characters and what happened to them. I can see where others may like this book but its not for me.
I would not recommend it because I found the author put too much extraneous information in there and the characters were not interesting at all. The basic premise of the story is good but not enough to make up for everything else. It's also kinda cliche - to the point of being slightly corny.
Was difficult to distinguish between characters as they all sounded pretty similar, if not the same
Yes, good story
It toke me a little bit to get into the book - but once the premise of the story was established and the story really got going, I enjoyed it. I will definitely be getting the next book in the series.
Yes, if you're looking for light entertainment - this will do nicely.
No, this does not need a follow-up book. The characters have been taken as far as they can be. I can't imagine a storyline that wouldn't seem like a re-hash of this one.
Its a little formulaic as romance novels go - stubborn girl - charming rich guy.... She won't listen to him because she's pig-headed which causes conflict - in the end they love each other...
This is an enjoyable book - the storyline goes along smoothly and I was entertained throughout the whole book. I was only glad I already had the 2nd book downloaded so I don't have to wait to see what happens next!
In a list of a top 10, it doesn't rank
It starts to become interesting when the resolution to the problem begins (trying not to give anything away)
As with any narrator, you get to sit back and enjoy the story - just like it better then reading
Patricia Briggs spent too much time establishing the premise of the story in the beginning and it was hard to stay interested. Especially when establishing the bad relationship between Seraph and her husband's sister, considering it has no bearing on the actual story. If she couldn't gotten faster to the part of the shadowed priest and have gone from there it would've been better.
