Loved this story and how it relates to all the previous books. I don't like to give a summary as some do...but I will tell you there is plenty of great story lines and plenty of great steam!! One cannot say enough about the narration by Susan Duerden...she is simply amazing. She is definitely in my top 5 list of narrators. This one is definitely worth the credit or price...loved it ...as usual!!

I thought the stories in books 2 and 3 of this series were good, however, the narrator is very hard to get used to. When the dialogue between characters is read..he goes very fast and mumbles. Several times I had to back up to see what was said. But I did enjoy the stories and I would definitely continue to read her books. However, I wish she would consider a better narrator. Sorry Amy...

WONDERFUL...WONDERFUL...WONDERFUL. I loved this book. Kathryn Le Veque is such a talented writer, she can make you feel that you are there ...in the story with the characters. This story had so many ups and downs, I didn't know whether to keep the box of tissues for happy tears or sad tears. Just the right amount of "steam". As always, when I cannot find a story that I wish to read...I can always turn to one of Kathryn Le Veque's books and know that I will be satisfied. I hope you all enjoy this story as much as I did!! Last, but not least, what would we do without Tim Campbell and his wonderful narration. He is amazing...as always!!

I'm almost finished with this listen, however, I think I will be in bed under the covers for at least a week suffering from depression!! The story was well written, well narrated and totally dark. There has not been one happy moment in this story starting with the first word spoken. Come on...this is supposed to be a "R-O-M-A-N-C-E" story. Even the intimate moments are spoiled by something or other. Not my cup of tea...I like a little smile now and then with my men!! Would I recommend this book...only if you are abundantly happy and need to tone down to total depression mode!

I enjoyed the storyline of this book. It certainly kept my interest. I won't recap the story and spoil it for anyone...the only problem I had with it was getting used to the narrator. She wasn't one of my favorite narrators for sure. She had a rather flat tone to her and I could not get used to her speaking with an american accent when she wasn't reading direct dialog. For me, it would have been much better if she stayed in character while even reading what they were thinking in their heads. That probably doesn't make any sense, however, I know what I mean. lol I would still recommend this story to anyone who loves Scottish romance...it is pretty hard to ruin that for me.
