It's been ten years since clean-cut, sexy-as-hell police officer Todd Keenan had a white-hot fling with Erin Brown, the provocative, wild rocker chick next door. Their power exchange in the bedroom got under his skin. But love wasn't in the cards just yet.... Now, life has thrown the pair back together. But picking up where they left off is tough, in light of a painful event from Erin's past. As Todd struggles to earn her trust, their relationship takes an unexpected and exciting turn when Todd's best friend, Ben, ends up in their bed - and all three are quite satisfied in this relationship without a name.

It is A.D. 1486. Fresh from his treacherous turning of the tides against Richard III in the Battle of Bosworth, Sir Gaston de Russe's reputation is dark and dirty. Those loyal to Richard hate him and those loyal to Henry Tudor fear him. He is, after all, The Dark One. In order to gain a strong foothold in Yorkshire, Henry sends Gaston to one of the largest fortresses in the north, a massive bastion called Mt. Holyoak Castle.

This was one of the best books I've listened to in a very long time. This was a well written exciting book. There were twists and turns all through this book. I know it seems long in time, however, I was never bored with this listen. The main characters were very likable and even some of the secondary characters find a place in your heart. There is much passion, hatred and many laughable moments throughout. I wish there were more like this and can't wait to look for more of this author's works. Worth the time and credit or price.

If there was a fault to be found at all...it was not with the writing or narrating of the story, but the editing. However, that being said, it is easy to overlook and continue on enjoying this story. I hope everyone enjoys this one as much as I did.

Don't get me wrong...I enjoyed it as I enjoy all your books...however, there was a lot of repetition that was just not necessary. Too much praise of each other between the H/H over and over and over. Adam Paul as narrator was perfect as usual. Worth the read? Absolutely...could it be better....absolutely!!!

In this second installment of her breathtaking De Montforte Brothers series, critically acclaimed author Danelle Harmon introduces us to Englishman Lord Charles de Montforte, who awakens in the tender care of an American beauty after being wounded in battle. Amy Leighton has long wished for someone special to enter her life and take her away from a cruel, unloving step-family, but the handsome stranger is from an enemy land...and he's sworn to love another. A 1775-era Cinderella story sure to enthrall!

Excellent series...great story lines. I laughed several times. Just the right amount of romance and love. My only negative was the narrator. It's not that he did a bad reading..however, his voice was much too old for the ages of the characters. Garreth is supposed to be in his 20's and he sounds like he's in his 60's...it was hard to relate to love scenes. I can't believe that these things are not considered when hiring a narrator. I find this to be the fact in several audio books. :(

Not sure if I liked it and not sure if I didn't like it. I thought it was very drawn out with too much detail of the how-to of spying and being stealthy and not enough romance. There seemed to be a lot of characters with very hard to remember names and I wasn't sure who was on what side half the time...that being said...with about three hours left it started to narrow down to the important characters and I did like the ending. I am not sure why this was number 3 in the series...to me it should have been number two...it took you back before the time of book number two so half the time you just knew what was going to happen because you already read it in book two. I didn't hate it however, I could have done without the whole first half of the story. Sorry (sort of)
