Priscilla and Trace and their funny bantor.
His story telling ability and his wonderful manly voice. So many times they have a woman narrating a man's voice and it just creeps me out.
Best one yet...laughed through the entire book at Priscilla.
This book just rattled on and on and on....the only reason I finished it is because I used a credit for it!! Boring Boring Boring..... :(
Great story with likable characters. Plenty of romance and just enough resistance. Can't wait for the next Murray story!!!
The story was drawn out...not sure if it was the narrator's reading of the story or the writing...but I thought it would never end. I would have liked a lot more "niceness" and less "battling" between the characters. I just did not relate and I think it was because of the narration...not good at all.
I almost passed this book up...so glad I didn't. I loved the characters and the story. The narrator was excellent. A man should always narrate a highlander book...there are maybe one or two women that can do male voices that sound strong enough to be burly men. Jim McCabe was very good with different voices and he didn't race through the love scenes like he was calling a horse race!! Loved it and the reading...
Good story....a little drawn out, but, not so that it wasn't a good listen. The narrator was wonderful...did many different voices, but his lead male voice was awesome!! Good Job.
I didn't know that Shayla Black also writes under the name of Shelley Bradley...why do some authors do that??? I did not feel like I was listening to Shayla Black's writing through the entire book... perhaps she knew this was not her best work. I read on another reviewers comments regarding the metaphors .... boy was she correct!! They were to a distraction! Just did not feel this story to be believable in any way what so ever!! Sorry Shayla or Shelley....hope the next book is better.
I loved this book....it wasn't your run of the mill erotica...(bondage, doms, etc,) There is a touching and captivating love story involved.. Can't wait to read the next book.
that was probably the best highlander book I have listened to in a very long time. The narration was excellent...the story was well written and not the usual...arranged marriage scenario. I laughed several times out loud at the banter between the H/H. The female lead was a strong personality and that made for a very interesting story. I would definitely listen to this book again and can't wait for the next one...please please please!!!
It felt like I had heard it before. It was very very similar to the series by Karen Marie Moning. Perhaps they are connected in some way, but, the only thing different was the narrator for this book was not as good as Phil Gigante, who narrated the Karen Marie Moning series. That being said, it did hold my interest and I love any Scottish Romance book I can get me hands on!!
This was a story well written and entertaining. Just steamy enough and I was sorry to see it end. Can't wait for another one....hopefully! The narrator was excellent. I had never heard her before, but will definitely listen to her again..
