Kyle Riggs is snatched by an alien spacecraft sometime after midnight. The ship is testing everyone it catches and murdering the weak. The good news is that Kyle keeps passing tests and staying alive. The bad news is the aliens who sent this ship are the nicest ones out there.

Would you try another book from B. V. Larson and/or Mark Boyett?

This was a book I had high hopes based on other reviewers. But found the plot of the book tedious, and characters one dimensional and not believable. It is not worth the time to listen although I did slog through the whole book, hoping it would grow on me or become better.

Would you ever listen to anything by B. V. Larson again?

    Maybe

How could the performance have been better?

The reading seemed just that a reading I felt the reader was not involved in telling a story.

Russia gains a new tsar, a signal to the world that the imperial Russia is back and plans to have her day. In America, a killer known only as Happy the Baker brutally murders an innocent family and literally flattens the small Midwestern town they once called home. Just a taste, according to the new tsar, of what will happen if America does not back down. Alex Hawke is the only man who can stop the madness.

    "predictable and repetitive"
    Overall

This book is very predictable, repetitive, and filled with cliches. Even if you like this genre of books would steer you away from this one. Overly long, wildly inconsistent, and outlandish plot with predictable villian and hero- it would be better if this was a comic book.
