The author read the book so it was as if Rich were reading the story directly to the reader.
I don't want to give away the story but the author captured our attention immediately with the opening story.
My extreme reaction is that it motivated me to try becoming a vegan and to purchase a Vitamix. Its been four weeks but so far, so good.
The only reason I gave the audio book four stars rather than five stars is that I needed to also obtain a printed copy of the book to retain the information in the appendices. These chapters contain the specific foods to include in your vegan diet.
The story itself was fastinating, especially hearing it directly from Rich.
Elizabeth's recollection of the events in such great detail was very impressive. Her ability to move on with her life and count herself as being lucky is truly inspirational.
How she counted the number of months that she has been alive and the number of months that she was captured to quantify how blessed she is. This adds a whole new perspective to counting ones blessings.
She played herself so this was not applicable.
Shock with what she went through. Satisfaction in hearing a happy ending.
I highly recommend this book.
I've been blessed to be able to trail run in the beautiful Wasatch Mountains, yet have never been aware that much of this story took place there.
I ended up listening to this book twice end to end as some of the advice was so useful that I wanted to make sure I engrained it in my memory.
I'm surprised just how easy many of these techniques are, yet so seldom practiced by most people. That was eye opening.
Highly recommend this book. The only difficult part was that the middle of this book started talking about dealing with people who have mental disorders that most of us do not deal with on a day to day basis. That section of the book would have been more helpful if I was a mental health professional. However, I still strongly recommend this book to everyone.
The author told her story in a very interesting manner and did a nice job with the narration. Once I started this book, it was difficult to put down until I finished it.
How the author labels each of her dates.
She has a very pleasant voice and used nice inflections when appropriate.
Just how much of an emotional effect menopause has on women. Before this, I had no idea.
Highly recommend this book.
I don't want to rank the audiobooks that I've read as I enjoy so many of them. However, I thoroughly enjoyed this audio book.
I loved how the author integrated historical events that were going on at the same time as the events that the crew were encountering. It helped paint a very colorful picture of this interesting period in world history.
Mr. Hermann has a very easy to listen to voice. I thoroughly enjoyed his performance.
It was a bit too long for that.
I highly recommend this audio book.
The author has definitely done his research, drawing on many of the other research that had been done on particular aspects of the JFK assassination. This book pulls all this prior research together into one common thread.
How the evidence that the author presents is so convincing.
I don't have time to read such lengthy paper-based books. Mr. Sanders kept this lengthy story compelling where you didn't want to pause the audiobook.
My extreme reaction is that he changed my perspective on this historic event.
A must read. Should be a mandatory book for all college level American History classes.
The premise of this book was how Freddie and Queen stole the show at the 1985 Live Aid show.
For anyone who watched it live, Queen was good but not the most memorable act. Yet, the author kept coming back to that.
Not much. It is difficult to write a book about someone who has been dead for quite some time.
I only made it about one-third of the way through this book. I kept hoping it would improve but it never did.
This book provided much insight into what made this dream team and its members so special. It will be tough for there ever to be another all star team like this one.
None in particular, but this book was still very entertaining. I'm glad I read it.
I don't think so.
I have quite a few audio books that I am reading.
The narrator did a good job but the story / her story was just not as interesting as I would have hoped.
It was interesting to hear about Beatlemania from the inside.
The author's friendship with Farrah was simply amazing. Also, cancer is a disease that has touched nearly everyone. It was very interesting to hear how Alana and Farrah dealt with this during those last three years.
The narration and focal tones were also fantastic.
Farrah's sense of humor regarding a Jaguar lease.
I highly recommend this book. It is impossible to listen to this and not be touched by it.
I would recommend that you spend the 3 hours listening to this album 4 to 6 times rather than reading this book.
Nothing. He did a great job with the material that he had. However, I just did not enjoy it.
Disappointment that I wasted 3 hours of my time listening to it.
This was my first 33.3 album audio books that I purchased. This will probably be my last.
