Books about human behavior are my favorite. But this one in particular is a must have. There is so much useful information condensed in this book that I wished it was twice as long.

If you read and liked What every body is saying you certainly like this book as well. But keep in mind these 2 books have different focus. Spy the lie focus on how to detect a lie based on the excuses people make up when confronted with direct questions, while what every body is saying is more focused on body language,

I didn't rate this book 5 stars because sometimes it seems that the authors are holding back more information, because they work for the CIA I guess. But If they ever manage to publish a second book I'll definitely buy it.

I've always been curious about hypnosis and NLP but everytime I got around to reading a book about the subject I always got bogged down with so many details and difficult language, so I always assumed It was hard and not for me.

After I listened to this book everything changed, NLP is very different from hypnosis and this book opened my mind to so much usefull stuff that I recommend this book for everyone, From teens to elderly people, it can significantly improve your life quality if you start changing what is inside your head.

There is nothing new here. This book really won't change your life, is superficial. Maybe a psychology student would find something useful, but it does not give you any sound advice and the cover and title are deceptive.I won't give one star because at least the book is to the point.

If the author would at least talk about something you can do to overcome the self defeating behavior as the cover suggests it would be much much better. Just knowing how people go on self defeating behavior won't change much.

This book really surpised me, vert interresting content, no bull****, but the thing I enjoyed the most was the narrator's performance, it feels like you are having a personal lecture on sales by the author. Which is very close to the truth.

Definitely no, there is so many good tips you have to listen in bits at a time and reflect on them, a second and this listen are advisable too.

The main points I got from this book were Speed and ease, and being the single point of contact with the customer. Whoever listen to this book will undestand what I mean.

Ever since i read fooled by randomness, I've read and recommended all of Taleb's books. He is the master of anti bulls*h*i*t.

The most memorable moment of Taleb's books are as usual his conclusions and afterwords. It is like listening to the wise Grandfather I never had.

When he explains his ideas on antifragility is also very interresting because the concept has been around all his previous books, but it is the first time he explains in a way I feel like I really get his point.

Taleb writes about what he wants to write about, he does not just say it as you listen his book you can feel he is not constrain about anything because he really say what is on his mind and curses very often

A few times it's gets boring when he rumbles on and on about the same subject, but his message is so universal that this could even be a philosophy book though I'm sure the author woudn't agree to that.

This book covers a lot of ground on economics. As I am a beginner on the subject I found this book very interesting. If I had had the printed version I'm not sure I'd have been able to go through the whole thing since it's a long book but the narrator did a fantastic job. Students of economics would find this book useful as well.

The first half of the book is mainly about concepts and explaining how things work on the market. The second half was way my favorite where the author destroys many of the fallacies we hear politicians talking. I wish everyone who votes would hear this book.

Comparing with other zombie books I've read.

THE MORNINGSTAR STRAIN

* Best story in regards to realism. You can even believe it could be. Great characters but too nice with them. Only a few die and mostly in the end.
* Good descriptions about the infection.
* The most infectant zombies.


ZOMBIE FALLOUT

* Funniest character ever to exist in a zombie novel. At least until book 4.
* Good descriptions of the guns.
* Nastiest and most gruesome description of the zombies.
* Too many things mixed in the same story, like vampires and supernatural beings.


THIS BOOK

* Written as a journal.
* Zombie Fallout is also written as a diary /journal but some chapters focus on other characters.
* This book focus only on the main character.
* Good descriptions of places and planes not the guns.
* Other characters seem one dimensional.
* Does not go into the mental confusion that is very characteristic of the genre.


If you like zombies get it but you won't fell the tension as other books of the same genre.

Overall it is a good listen. The authors calls his tips "secrets". Every time I read or hear somebody call something a secret that ridiculous book of the same name comes to mind. So yes I would chance that.

His insights are not great specially if you read good books about sales before. But the authors wraps them well in a psychological frame.

In chapters 2 and 3 the authors describes Behavior Styles and Core Values, he describes each of them briefly and them proceeds to explain how they interact. But he fails to explain how we can figure out who fits into each category, which would help a lot. Instead the author hints that we need his professional advice on that. Meaning extra service and money on his pocket of course.

The best "secret" of the book is definitely the best one "It's all about me". But I'll the details for who listen to this book.

It's was. It's an eye opener but don't expect that all your relationships problems will disappear after reading this book.

If you liked this book you should read some sales books as well like the psychology of selling.

I was hoping this book to be about spotting sociopaths, or at least showing how they think, not quite.

The author is certainly a specialist on the subject, but his objective with this book is to make the general public aware of the need of a better way to classify sociopaths on the DSM, with empathy as reference. And that's about it.

I understand that some people might find this kind of subject interesting but I think that if I can't use what I read in a practical way it's not.

Listening to this book is better than watching the Gladiator because it really happened. On top of that allows us to know some of what happened in the life of one of the persons who shaped our modern world.

Maybe Ceasar changed some facts to make himself appear more heroic to his peers but who wouldn't?
