    Councilman Golan Trevize is wondering if he was right to choose a collective mind as the best possible future for humanity over the anarchy of contentious individuals, nations and planets. To test his conclusion, he decides he must know the past and goes in search of legendary Earth, all references to which have been erased from galactic libraries. The societies encountered along the way become arguing points in a book-long colloquy about man's fate, conducted by Trevize and traveling companion Bliss, who is part of the first world/mind, Gaia.

    Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

    Only if they were an Asimov fan. The poor quality of the reader limits it to only those really into the series.


    Who was your favorite character and why?

    Golan Treviese. He's the hero of the story. His actions drive the story forward.


    Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Larry McKeever?

    Scott Brick did an excellent job on the rest of the series. He should have done this one too.


    Any additional comments?

    It's a classic Asimov story, smart and insightful. it's just a shame it's such a bland and uninteresting reading, it really ruined the experience.
