Like every other hobbit, Bilbo Baggins likes nothing better than a quiet evening in his snug hole in the ground, dining on a sumptuous dinner in front of a fire. But when a wandering wizard captivates him with tales of the unknown, Bilbo becomes restless. Soon he joins the wizard’s band of homeless dwarves in search of giant spiders, savage wolves, and other dangers. Bilbo quickly tires of the quest for adventure and longs for the security of his familiar home. But before he can return to his life of comfort, he must face the greatest threat of all.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Hobbit to be better than the print version?

I purchased the audio edition and the Kindle edition both. I love having both and being able to go back and forth I've been looking forward to this Audible unabridged version for some time.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Would you listen to Tune In again? Why?

I would listen to Tune in again. It was every bit as entertaining as a novel.

What did you like best about this story?

It's a memoir of the best music of my youth.

What about Clive Mantle’s performance did you like?

I really enjoyed his reading and the voices of each of the characters.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Not so much a moment, it was the inner lives of these icons that makes this book so compelling.

    Any additional comments?

    I couldn't put it down.

Newly divorced Alison Kerby wants a second chance for herself and her nine-year-old daughter. She's returned to her hometown on the Jersey Shore to transform a Victorian fixer-upper into a charming-and profitable guest house. One small problem: the house is haunted, and the two ghosts insist Alison must find out who killed them.

What did you like best about Night of the Living Deed? What did you like least?

I enjoyed the characters, and the New Jersey setting. It was a clever twist on the usual mystery plot.

Would you recommend Night of the Living Deed to your friends? Why or why not?

I wouldn't recommend it. I prefer the elements; writing style, plot, and depth of character, to be weightier. I'm preferring Donna Tartt's The Goldfinch in every way.

What three words best describe Amanda Ronconi’s performance?

    cute, humorous, somewhat annoying

Did Night of the Living Deed inspire you to do anything?

    No

    Any additional comments?

    I can't recommend it.
