If you could sum up War Horse in three words, what would they be?

    Inspiring, Entertaining, Rewarding

Who was your favorite character and why?

Joey. He rolled with the punches but never gave up.

Which character – as performed by John Keating – was your favorite?

    Joey

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It both made me smile and brought a tear to my eye at several points in the story.

    Any additional comments?

I saw the movie as well and the audio book was better. The story in the audio book was told by Joey - something you really couldn't pull of in a movie, and that really made a big difference for me.

More than a million listeners have thrilled to Bill O'Reilly's Killing Lincoln, the can't-stop-listening work of nonfiction about the shocking assassination that changed the course of American history. Now the anchor of The O'Reilly Factor recounts in gripping detail the brutal murder of John Fitzgerald Kennedy—and how a sequence of gunshots on a Dallas afternoon not only killed a beloved president but also sent the nation into the cataclysmic division of the Vietnam War and its culture-changing aftermath.

Would you consider the audio edition of Killing Kennedy to be better than the print version?

I have not read the print version. I "read" most of my books via audio.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Killing Kennedy?

The detail of the shooting and the images of Jackie Kennedy, the secret service agent, Lee Harvey Oswald were riveting.

What does Bill O'Reilly bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

O'Reilly reads using the same manner he uses to report news stories. That style lends enhanced excitement over just reading the words.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Some of the parts talking about details heretofore unheard regarding both JFK, Jackie, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Bobby Kennedy were quite entertaining and enhanced the overall mood of the story.

    Any additional comments?

Another great book and narration by O'Reilly. Have now listened to both Killing Lincoln and Killing Kennedy. And I will likely listen to both again as the details were fascinating in both books. Looking forward to more books from O'Reilly.

The anchor of The O'Reilly Factor recounts one of the most dramatic stories in American history—how one gunshot changed the country forever. In the spring of 1865, the bloody saga of America's Civil War finally comes to an end after a series of increasingly harrowing battles. President Abraham Lincoln's generous terms for Robert E. Lee's surrender are devised to fulfill Lincoln's dream of healing a divided nation. But one man and his band of murderous accomplices are not appeased....

    Story
What made the experience of listening to Killing Lincoln the most enjoyable?

The detailed descriptions of the era, the politics, the battles, the characters. Very well done.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Killing Lincoln?

There were several but one that sticks is the image of Lincoln lying on the floor of Ford's Theater being attended to by the young physician taking the lead over his more experienced colleagues.

What does Bill O'Reilly bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Bill's news media background added an element of the events around Lincoln at his death being reported as they would be today.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The book had both amusing and sad parts. Mary Lincoln was a particularly tragic figure, especially when their son was killed at such a young age. The rage on the part of Booth and the band of radicals with which he associated reminds one that dealing with extreme radicals is not isolated to the current day.

    Any additional comments?

A great listen that I will listen to again.
