Loved loved loved this audiobook - the story, the characters, the narration, all of it. The following two in the series are just as good, and I couldn't wait to get to them. A must!

This is a fantastic story, free from the usual cliches that accompany such tales. Brilliant narration by Cyntia Nixon. Highly recommended!

I didn't enjoy this audiobook and in fact did not bother listening to the end of it. The narration was fine but the characters were so unlikeable and the story was dull.

Tina returns for her brother's wedding to the Fenland village where she grew up. A moment of panic about her 10-year-old daughter triggers a vision of her best friend, Mandy Baker, who went missing without a trace at the same age three decades ago. The more Tina replays events and relives her tempestuous upbringing, the more she believes she knows what happened to Mandy and who was responsible.

A chubby little girl with blond hair, blue eyes, and ordinary looks, Victoria Dawson has always felt out of place in her family, especially in body conscious Los Angeles. Her parents are disappointed by their daughter’s looks. Later in life, the one thing Victoria knows is that she has to get as far away from home as possible and, after college in Chicago (which her parents disapprove of), she moves to New York City.

This is the first Danielle Steel novel I have read/heard. The didn't seem to be much of a story or plot development, and it was repetative a lot of the time, but it was an enjoyable listen.

Step inside the home of Holly Mac and meet her successful, distinguished husband Marcus, notice how beautiful her home is and how gorgeous her children Daisy and Oliver are. You might say they are the perfect family, but you would be very wrong.

    "Entertaining, contemporary chick-lit"
    Overall

This was my first Jane Green book and I really enjoyed it! The many characters were all well developed and their individual stories provided variety. Some plotlines were a little cliche, but overall it was a fantastic chick lit listen. Jilly Bond's narration was great, and I'll certainly look for audiobooks narrated by her in the future.

Joyce and Marshall Harriman are in the midst of a contentious divorce. On the morning of September 11, Joyce departs for Newark to catch a flight to San Francisco, and Marshall heads for his office in the World Trade Center. She misses her flight and he's late for work, but on that grim day each thinks the other is dead, and each is secretly, shamefully, gloriously happy. In this astonishing black comedy, Kalfus suggests how our nation's public calamities have encroached upon our most private illusions.

Margo Sullivan had everything a young woman could ask for. But while growing up along the rocky cliffs of Monterey, she couldn't help but dream of bigger things. The daughter of the Templeton's stern Irish housekeeper, Margo had been treated like a member of the family. Deep down, she knew that money could not buy the one thing she craved most - her mother's acceptance. Maybe things would be different if she could be sweet like Laura - or had Kate's shrewd head for business.

I usually LOVE Nora Robert's novels, especially the series of three, but this was so dull and pointless. I did not enjoy the lead character, and there wasn't much action happening. I will not be purchasing the following two titles in this series, but have not given up on Nora Roberts yet.
