First book was ok, so I went for the 2nd. It was better than the 1st one. I'm glad I got it, but really wasn't inspired to get the 3rd. If I am in need of a book and don't have anything else, I would go for the 3rd one. Kitty was more likable in this book and I cared more about her and her story. Narration is still on the bland side, but still ok. Not a deal breaker.

Got the 1st two books on sale, they were ok. Not fabulous, but ok. I enjoyed them and I'm glad I bought them, but, for me, they just aren't super special. A good transition book if y our going from one great series, before you head into the next. Narration was a bit dry for me, but it didn't keep me from enjoying the book.

I love these books. So I kinda suffered thru the narration. Rob is fine, he's just not great. He sounds, to me, like a Dwarf, so every character sounds like a Dwarf.. But you cant go wrong with Tolkien, and if you love these books, you'll have to listen to them too!

I like Brandon Sanderson's work, and Elantris is good work. The narration is ok, and its helpful to hear names that might have been difficult to read. Great character development and intrigue, building to a climax that I had to finish once I got close to the end.

Bitter and merciless war is coming to the frozen north. It's bloody and dangerous and the Union army, split by politics and hamstrung by incompetence, is unprepared for the slaughter that's coming. Lacking experience, training, and in some cases even weapons, the army is scarcely equipped to repel Bethod's scouts, let alone his elite forces. In the heat-ravaged south, the Gurkish are massing to assault the city of Dagoska, defended by Inquisitor Glokta.

Rothfuss is a great storyteller! Super details, consistant character development and an interesting world. Loved the story, length and the narration is excellent! Nick Podehl is at the top of his game with this one. Only one dissapointment: book 3 is not out yet! (as of Feb 2013) I'm sad that I can't finish the story yet... I want completion! Other than that small bit of having to wait, this is an excellent book!
