Just finished listening to the book Amazing Love by Corrie ten Boom. After her release from the Concentration camp, Corrie traveled around the world, proclaiming the Gospel. This book talks of 27 encounters she had after the war. Her faith in God puts us to shame. Although I do not agree with all the book (not KJV) it did have a lot of meat. Some of the topics was forgiveness, spiritual pride, the love of God; faith in God; etc. It was very encouraging and worth the listen (2hours & 31 min.) .

I do not what the problems might have been in the past, but I have listened through Psalms and word for word so far the entire Bible is there. I have really enjoyed the experience so far. Making me more aware of the different things people are saying. Being someone who likes to listen to the old radio broadcast, I enjoy the music and sounds (hail during the 10 plagues or the wars sounds during the battle of Jericho). This is a good Bible for children to listen to. I have the Alexander Scourby KJV Bible I enjoy listening to, but it will nice switching back and forth between the two.

The narration is very well done, but there are several verses omitted (just skipped over) and is not entirely KJV. Very disappointed. I really like the way Mr. Jones reads the Bible, the music is beautiful but I am KJV all the way and would not have brought if I would have known.

Jessica is invited to join other crime writers at an interactive murder mystery weekend in a historic mansion turned resort. A theatrical troupe presents a play for the paying guests, but a young actor's death during the actual performance isn't part of the script. The local sheriff has never investigated a murder before and enlists Jessica's help and expertise. As she begins to put the pieces together in her folksy fashion, Jessica recognizes that this could well be her last performance.

Donald Bain did a good job in bringing back in the written word the tv series. The characters seem true to form. This story gets you from the beginning and keeps your interest throughout the book. If you are looking for a good mystery that is G rating; no extreme violence or sexual sences or foul language; just a good old fashion mystery then this is a book you would enjoy. Cynthia Darlow does a wonderful job in narrating the story.

Because They Hate is a political wake-up call. Brigitte Gabriel, who lost her childhood to militant Islam, warns that the United States is threatened by fundamentalist Islamic theology in the same way that Lebanon was - that radical Islam will stop at nothing short of domination of all non-Muslim countries. Fiercely articulate and committed, Gabriel both tells her own story and outlines the history, social movements, and religious divisions that have led to this critical historical conflict.

Just finished listening to Because they hate: A survivor of Islamic Terror Warns America by Brigitte Gabriel. I gave this book 4 stars. I do not know if I agree with everything in the book (am not really informed enough on the subject) but the book is well written and very informative. I learned a lot about the middle east.
