Jack Reacher was alone, the way he liked it, soaking up the hot, electric New York City night, watching a man cross the street to a parked Mercedes and drive it away. The car contained one million dollars in ransom money. And Edward Lane, the man who paid it, will pay even more to get his family back. Lane runs a highly illegal soldiers-for-hire operation.

Part of a series and it is a very easy listen. I listen to books when I am running so I do not want something that requires to much concentraton.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Kept me on the edge of my run.

Which character – as performed by Dick Hill – was your favorite?

    All were well done.

Lisbeth Salander—the heart of Larsson’s two previous novels—lies in critical condition, a bullet wound to her head, in the intensive care unit of a Swedish city hospital. She’s fighting for her life in more ways than one: if and when she recovers, she’ll be taken back to Stockholm to stand trial for three murders. With the help of her friend, journalist Mikael Blomkvist, she will not only have to prove her innocence, but also identify and denounce those in authority.

I have to agree with other reviews, good story, well written but if you are going to leave us hanging at least label the book part 1. We are going to buy the other book but I like to purchase the series so that I am not left wondering when the next book will come out.

Captain Kidd has gone down in history as America's most ruthless buccaneer. However, Captain William Kidd was no career cut-throat; he was a tough, successful New York sea captain who was hired to chase pirates. Across the oceans of the world, the pirate hunter, Kidd, pursued the pirate, Culliford. One man would hang in the harbor; the other would walk away with the treasure. The Pirate Hunter is both a masterpiece of historical detective work and a page-turner.

I judge some of the books by how interesting they are while I am running. I run 4 to 6 miles a day and the books should help me get through the run. If the book is boring then the run is tough but if it holds my interest then the run does not seem long enough because I want to hear more of the book and will have to wait until the next run. This book allowd me to runm the max every day. Good research on the material.

When you finally finish the book you will say that it is a fine novel. The problem I had with this book was that I had a difficult time wanting to continue. It was a long drawn out story. Was it science fiction? Was it a love story? Was it a mystery? I am not sure. I always ask myself would you go back sometime in the future and listen again. The answer is no.
